People Operations Partner  

About the role  

We are seeking a People Operations Partner to join our team in Amsterdam!. In this role, you will join a People Tteam consisting of People Operations, People Business Partnering and Talent Acquisition and you will report directly to our VP People. Our team is responsible for the employee lifecycle of our 240 international employees based at our Amsterdam and Barcelona offices. You will be mainly focusing on the Amsterdam Office and will work closely  with the People Ops function in Barcelona. 

The People Operations team makes sure all People processes run smoothly, and we work on various People projects that support the full employee life cycle. Our goal is to create a sustainable environment for future growth with one main challenge: finding the middle ground between scalable procedures and policies and the best employee experience.  
  

What you'll do  

  • Be the main point of contact for employee queries  regarding employee benefits, sick cases, special leave requests, payroll and employee policies and documents;  
  • Handle all administrative touchpoints throughout the employee journey. This includes creating all employment-related documents and keeping all employee files and our HR system (BambooHR) up to date; 
  • Train and coach a part-time working student to support you with the above mentioned administrative tasks;  
  • Run a smooth monthly payroll process in collaboration with our payroll vendor and Finance team; 
  • Advise our People Partners and Talent Partners regarding local labor law, immigration, compensation packages, and specific employee cases;  
  • Ensure compliance and create more efficiency in our People processes as we prepare for and realizse our growth objectives; 
  • Vendor management; work with external parties and be their main point of contact, e.g., relocation agent and social security and tax authorities; drive improvement in our way of working and establish new partnerships with vendors where needed.  
  • Coordinate and execute the annual Compensation Review cycle that takes place in Q1;  
  • Project support: in this role you will get to spend about 20% of your time on project topics such as Employee Experience and Benefits.  

 

What you've got  

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience owning the full employee cycle and driving process improvements and project initiatives in a People Operations role 
  • You have experience with running the monthly payroll cycle and the annual compensation review cycle  
  • You have experience with relocation matters such as permit procedures and tax ruling applications.  
  • You are knowledgeable with regards to Dutch labor law and social security  
  • You enjoy working in an international scale-up environment where you can bring structure and efficiency and drive new initiatives 
  • You are accurate and detail-oriented with a service-minded mentality 
  • You are fluent in English and fluency in Dutch is a plus 
  • You are willing to be in the office 50% of the time
