Cboe interns work with a variety of staff across multiple departments and have the opportunity to put their skills to work in their field of interest, while learning about Exchange technology and operations through our robust Options Institute courses.

The three main foundational pillars of our internship program are: develop, educate and network. We want to ensure each of our interns receive a real-world working experience that encourages academic, professional and personal growth.

Candidates should be versatile, eager and able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive financial and technical environment. Our interns will have the flexibility of working 2 days remotely, and 3 days in office per week at one of our state-of-the-art offices in Chicago, Kansas City, and New York City. To be eligible for this internship, applicants must be enrolled in a university or college program and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the year in which the internship takes place. The Data and Access Solutions team is hiring for a Data and Access Solutions intern:

Join our dynamic Data and Access Solutions team, where we provide a comprehensive suite of data, analytics, and execution services across the entire transaction lifecycle. As our summer intern, you’ll engage in diverse projects, gaining invaluable insights into every aspect of DnA business. You'll collaborate with our different teams and contribute to projects that uncover business insights to support business growth. If you are driven by curiosity, and ready to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we invite you to join us in summer 2025.

Your responsibilities and learning objectives will be:

• Gain in-depth exposure to DnA’s various market data products, platforms, and revenue lines while working on projects that impact multiple areas of the business.
• Lead, design, and implement automation project to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Build analytical frameworks, develop financial models and conduct complex data analysis.
• Support team initiatives from a planning, communication, and execution standpoint.

The ideal candidate has:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Data related or STEM field and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the year in which the internship takes place.

• Innovative problem solver with a knack for quickly identifying issues and driving towards effective solutions.
• Strong comprehension and communication skills, capable of distilling complex concepts into clear, concise messages.
• Advanced analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or other data coding language, and experience with data visualization tools.
• Strong business acumen and a keen interest in learning about various business components. 

You’ll really stand out with:

• Storytelling or demonstration one of school business projects or previous internship projects.
• Resourceful self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

As required by the New York City Human Rights Law, Cboe provides a reasonable range of minimum base salary for roles that may be performed in New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, level of experience, etc. For New York City only, the range of starting base salary for this role is $24 to $36 an hour. Additional incentive compensation and benefits may be available.
