JOB DESCRIPTION

  • SKILLS:

Trade compliance experience in the automotive industry (preferred)

Knowledge of Mexico Compliance Rules and Regulations, government programs: IMMEX, PROSEC, RULE 8, Annex 24 (Customs Inventory Control) and Annex 31 (VAT Credit Control Warranty & Balance Account System).

Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, QAD, CODICE (preferred) or similar ERP and Customs systems (preferred).

  • ESSENTIAL INFORMATION, TASKS AND % TIME

Required: Bachelor's degree in international trade or similar, 1 year of experience (preferred).

Desirable: Proficient in English language (preferred).

60% COMPLIANCE GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS:

Support Adient Mexico plants with import & export operations in a consistent manner with our Global Customs & Trade Compliance policies and procedures.

Perform of Annex 24(Customs Inventory Control) and Annex 31 (VAT Credit Control Warranty & Balance Account System) according to Adient processes.

30% AUDIT & MONITORING:

Audit customs brokers and freight forwarders activities associated with HTS parts classification.

Apply origin certification and Government Authorized Programs (e.g., PROSEC and RULE 8).


10% PROGRAM COOPERATION:

Provide service provider all necessary information to obtain origin certification. Deliver all essential data of components and products in order to have accurate HTS classification.
