Job Summary

The Compliance Specialist is a key member of the Arch MI Compliance Group of a leading public mortgage insurance company. In this role, you will primarily support the Chief Compliance Officer in maintaining and overseeing the Arch MI Compliance Program.  The role will provide support by overseeing the Compliance training program, policy governance for Arch MI, and facilitating the completion of customer and regulatory agency compliance assessments. You will also assist the team in the monitoring of the team’s operational mailbox, maintenance of critical compliance procedures, program documentation, training and reporting, and policy administration. This position will require interaction and collaboration with various functional groups and team members across the organization.

  • Maintain and oversee the Compliance Training Program by managing the training calendar, collaboration with the Learning & Development and Compliance team on course content revision and testing, training assignments, and quarterly reporting.

  • Support the management of Compliance policies and procedures.

  • Facilitate the completion of compliance related assessments required by regulators, customers, and counter-parties

  • Monitor, address and resolve inquiries sent to the Compliance mailbox.

  • Support general Compliance activities and other responsibilities, including special projects, training, and ad-hoc reporting.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Minimum of 1+ years of training experience, preferably compliance training.

  • Strong technical skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Organization and project management skills.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills.

  • Strong, intuitive self-starter

  • Experience working with Governance, Risk and Compliance tools and/or methodologies

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 1-2 years of compliance experience

  • Experience in a regulated industry, such as mortgage or insurance preferred

  • Hybrid work schedule in accordance with the company’s hybrid work policy. Must be meeting performance expectations.'
