Caterpillar Poland is looking for a Finance Manager who would be a key member of the facilities’ leadership teams and have a direct impact on business decisions. As the controlling manager, you will provide financial support to two facilities in Poland (Janow Lubelski and Sosnowiec), and you will lead a team of 3 cost accountants.
What You Will Do:
Be responsible for monthly financial reporting, quarterly forecasts, as well as annual business processes, including the business plan, and executive reviews
Prepare cost and investment analysis for upper-level management (i.e. plant rates, return on Investment, Pricing and Make/Buy studies)
Support projects focused on cost, efficiency and productivity improvements
Provide insights on the financial results and operational metrics to assist management with business decisions
Participate in strategy development and key initiatives (short-term and long-term)
Leverage digital tools and analytics to streamline financial analysis and provide enhanced decision support
Partner with the local, regional and worldwide accounting teams to ensure accuracy and compliance in the financial results
Oversee and evaluate the activities of the finance staff, and guide their professional development
What You Will Have:
Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or business-related field
Extensive experience in Finance or Controlling (experience in the industry is highly preferred)
Effective communication skills – the ability to effectively transmit and interpret ideas, information and needs in both Polish and English (English should be upper-intermediate or advanced level)
Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Ability to lead, train and mentor successful teams, directly and indirectly.
Very good analytical thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Decision-making and critical thinking: Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Ability to travel up to 10-15 % of the overall working time, mostly within Poland.
