What You Will Do:

Under minimal supervision provides technical support for BE products to Field Sales and Service channels, along with internal PTS Engineers/Organizations on a global basis via phone, video conference, email or site visits in a consistent manner across all product offerings.  Assists with department operations. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

How You Will Do It:

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for BE products to Field Sales & Service organization on a global basis via site visit, phone, video, or email. 

  • Accountable to create and maintain technical service bulletins, service letters, and updates to the Solutions Database that meets and or exceeds internal and external customer expectations.

  • Provide input and feedback to maintain high quality product service literature

  • Must be proficient in troubleshooting the refrigeration cycle as applied to air-conditioning and heat pump duty on BE equipment

  • Must be proficient in troubleshooting electrical components including low and medium voltage VSD’s as applied to air-conditioning and industrial duty BE equipment

  • Is a core member of the Product Development Process

  • Drives product reliability through the Continuous Improvement Process for both existing products and new products being introduced. 

  • Provides technical support and interacts with quality management and engineering to improve overall life cycle cost.

  • Create test plans to prove out new and or existing  product equipment offerings. 

  • Engaged in the quest to educate other JCI associates in technical discussions on why a failure mode exists and the impact to the equipment and customer.

  • Adheres to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics Standards

  • To develop and maintain "a customer for life" we may provide technical support to on-site audits of BE plants, suppliers, and customer sites if required.  

  • Must adhere to all safety and personal protection requirements – leads by example.

What We Look For:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related Technical/Scientific field

  • Minimum of eight (8) years’ of hands on technical experience and troubleshooting with a knowledge of HVAC&R products. 

  • Adept in analyzing and solving complex product system problems. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required.

  • Ability to travel both domestically and Internationally up to 75% of the time.
