The Legal Assistant position includes substantial review of client and corporate vendor agreements, ad hoc legal research, drafting policies, and providing other legal-related support.  What makes this position particularly exciting is the level of close cooperation with other members of the Legal Department and substantive interaction with the Firm’s domestic and international consulting and corporate services staff as well as external law firm personnel and client procurement departments.  As the firm grows, this position offers increasing responsibility and challenging work to the right candidate.

Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assist with the drafting, review, and negotiation of a wide spectrum of consulting client and corporate vendor contracts (e.g. engagement letters, master services and subcontractor agreements, non-disclosure agreements, vendor and other corporate contracts)
  • Assist with preparing contract- and corporate-related portions of proposals and responses to Request for Proposals to prospective clients
  • Collaborate with the Firm’s billing personnel to open and track new client projects including tracking new project information;
  • Assist with general corporate matters by maintaining corporate filings, subsidiary and shareholder records, and supporting annual corporate insurance renewals

THE CANDIDATE

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a business environment, preferably in a legal or professional services firm (Internships included)
  • Experience in MS Office Suite and Microsoft Windows;
  • Excellent research skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and must have the ability to triage multiple issues and tasks
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, written and oral communication and problem solving skills
  • Candidate will be responsible for supporting all Brattle offices and may need to be flexible with their schedule in order to accommodate domestic and international offices in alternate time zones

Brattle offers a competitive benefits package, base salary, and bonus program for eligible roles based on individual and firm performance. The anticipated base gross salary range for this position in Boston, MA, Chicago, IL and Washington, DC is $55,000 - $60,000 annually.  Actual salary will depend on a variety of factors, including experience and training.
