Join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting the technical complexities encountered by our liquid-filled traction transformer facilities globally. Your contribution will enhance the information exchange between our centers of excellence and local engineering hubs, ensuring a robust and cohesive technical network

Your responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to liquid filled TT factories on special projects / complex cases

  • Perform design review on specific requests

  • Support TT factories on special customer requests (both at tendering and order design stage)

  • Support sharing construction technologies among Traction products

  • Provide GPG and HUB engineering technical support on failure analysis

  • Collect information from the different factories on failure analysis to create a «Failure Library»

  • Provide training to improve local engineers’ skills and competencies

  • Supports the GPG sales team in big tenders

Your background

  • MSc education in mechanical engineering or BSc

  • Work experience (> 10y) as mechanical lead engineer in the field of oil filled transformers, preferably TT

  • Advanced knowledge of 3D CAD tools and PLM (preferably PTC Creo and Windchill)

  • Advanced knowledge of transformer manufacturing processes

  • Solid technical expertise in problem resolution

  • Project management skills

  • Action and result-oriented mindset

  • Excellent communication skills and team spirit

  • Fluent in English, French is a big plus

  • Self-driven, motivated, and autonomous

  • Worldwide travelling in local factories (China, India) to train colleagues on new technologies and to meet customers. (up to 30% of time)
