Job Purpose:
The purpose of the role is to develop, market, structure and execute Spread Products (“SP”) derivative / hedging / funding to the whole range of Markets clients, primary in EMEA, focussing in the Developed Markets space.
Job Background/context:
The SP Solutions team is responsible for product development and pricing for clients of Markets. It sits within the Spread Products team, reporting to the Head of Solutions Structuring for Fixed Income
The candidate will be involved in developing, marketing and executing SP solutions ideas, across all types of institutional business mainly focused on EMEA (Developed Markets). Transactions are expected to span across a wide swathe of Spread Products including illiquid credit, credit exotics , risk transfer, tail risk hedging for clients, special situations etc. The candidate will also work collaboratively alongside other structurers in the broader Fixed Income structuring team in executing bespoke CLN and repack transactions
The role will involve regular interaction with sales, trading and control teams. A good part of the role involves developing ideas, expanding the boundaries of what is possible through working with trading / sales / control functions. In addition, attention to detail is critical given the focus on understanding complex legal documents.

The role provides significant interaction will all sections of Markets in EMEA. In addition, the role involves leading the execution and delivery of bespoke transactions with high senior visibility
Knowledge/Experience:
Prior knowledge of illiquid credit, risk transfer trades, derivative pricing and structured financing. In addition, experience of solution type trades is key e.g. SRT, securitisation documentation, SPVs etc. Familiarity with credit markets including public credit, private credit, capital stacks (eg AT1, sub-debt etc)
Skills:
Familiarity with pricing of credit derivative and structuring financing trades, highly competent at using spreadsheets, building tools etc.
Experience of dealing with legal, regulatory and accounting issues (issues, documents, rules, people etc.) is key for this role. Ideally multiple languages
Qualifications:
A quantitative degree in e.g. mathematics, physics, computer science or economics is preferred.
