We are seeking a talented Workday Senior Analyst to support the ongoing evolution of our Workday HRMS & Payroll platform. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the largest employer in Canada while shaping the future of our HR technology landscape.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Director of People Process & Technology, you will play a pivotal role in developing and deploying various aspects of the Workday system, with a primary focus on HCM Core and Security. Your contributions will ensure the platform provides an exceptional user experience and supports efficient, effective HR processes across the organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Workday environment and ensuring optimal system performance through configuration, testing, training, and troubleshooting. As a key subject matter expert, you will be a primary point of contact for users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the requirements gathering, design, development, and implementation of Workday solutions across multiple HR data domains, including HCM and Security.
  • Apply your knowledge of Workday features to enhance user experience, improve productivity, and ensure system sustainability.
  • Analyze strategic challenges, interpret data, and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Recommend and implement solutions based on issue analysis and business impact.
  • Develop solutions aligned with business strategies and stakeholder needs, ensuring they deliver measurable value and outcomes.
  • Promote automation, self-service tools, and a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure that all configuration changes and enhancements are thoroughly tested to meet business requirements.
  • Support strategic analytics and reporting initiatives in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document and maintain operational procedures related to Compensation, HCM, Security, and other relevant modules.
  • Proactively build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives.
  • Exercise sound judgment in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving complex problems.
  • Work independently and effectively manage non-routine tasks and challenges.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team's goals.

Your Recipe for Success:

  • 3-5 years of HRIS/Workday experience across various HR disciplines, combined with a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced expertise in Workday, particularly in HCM Core, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, and Security.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday’s delivered tools and functionalities, as well as experience with the Workday Security model.
  • Technical proficiency developed through significant business experience in HR technology.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to influence decisions through a deep understanding of Workday functionality and business needs.
