IT Business Analyst I

World Kinect is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented IT Business Analyst I to support technology initiatives and operational improvements within the Marine domain. This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career Business Analyst who is eager to grow, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and contribute to impactful technology solutions.

About the Role

As a Junior Business Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders across Marine Operations, IT, Security, and external partners to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and support the delivery of systems that enhance efficiency, compliance, and operational performance. You will assist in project execution, documentation, testing, and the implementation of new features—while leveraging AI tools to improve the way we work.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Analysis

  • Support the gathering, documentation, and analysis of business requirements across the marine business.

  • Assist in designing and improving business processes tailored to operational needs.

Project Support

  • Collaborate with IT, Operations, Security, and external partners to support solution delivery.

  • Monitor project progress and help identify issues, risks, and improvement opportunities.

  • Participate in functional testing and assist with rollout activities for new features.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare clear reports, presentations, and documentation that communicate findings and recommendations.

  • Maintain project documentation in systems such as Jira and Confluence.

Tools & Innovation

  • Leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency and optimize workflows.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office, Jira, and Confluence to support daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 0–2 years of experience in business analysis, project support, or a similar role.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Jira and Confluence preferred.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.

  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
