Role purpose

The key purpose of the Brand & Marketing Manager is to work closely with the Regional Brand and Marketing Manager in the development and implementation of the Centre’s brand strategy and annual marketing plan for centres.

You will lead the charge and contribute to the development of each Centre’s Vision Strategy and Action (VSA) planning process, ensuring the marketing plan delivers on key opportunities for the centre. You will develop commercial strategies including brand awareness, digital, local activations, partnerships, campaigns and promotion, and identify opportunities to support retailer business strategies through local marketing plans which are tailored to the needs of our consumers.

Please note this is a fixed-term contract until October 2025.

Key Accountabilities

  • All elements of the annual performance cycle are completed by the due date (including goal setting, mid-year reviews, EOY conversations)

  • Regular 1:1’s, team meetings and development conversations conducted - minimum monthly cadence

  • Performance issues are managed in an effective and timely manner

  • Quarterly development conversations conducted with all team members

  • 100% of compliance training is completed on time for team

  • All health and safety, risk and compliance requirements are delivered across the team

  • Effective management of budgets as per forecast with demonstrated focus on managing cost

  • Demonstrated commitment to building own capability as a people leader

  • Collaborate with the Regional Brand and Marketing Manager to develop the brand and marketing strategies for the centre which will be aligned to the Vicinity Marketing Strategy and Vision Strategy and Action Plan (VSA’s)

  • Deliver and align with the Vicinity Marketing Strategy and asset cluster plan for the centre

  • Thorough understanding of consumer segmentation and key target markets in order to develop strategies that create value and deliver an ROI

  • Plan, manage and execute strategic campaigns, activations, and projects consistently to timelines and budgets

  • In conjunction with the Digital and Social Specialist develop and implement social and digital strategies, activity, monitoring and reporting, to support the cluster and centre marketing plans.

  • Centre operational support will be required from time to time including and not limited to duty management shifts, centre walks, hoarding management and onsite contractor support.

  • Strong understanding of retailer businesses and engagement, ensuring regular and meaningful communication and reporting with our retail partners at all times

  • Support the localisation of the national ESG strategy including relationship management and data reporting.

  • Administrative and Reporting duties will include but are not limited to preparing reports and attending Joint Venture Meetings and regional meetings; and the performance management of regional traffic, sales and campaign PIR’s and relevant risk, security & compliance training reporting.

  • Financial/ Budgeting duties will include raising purchase orders, processing invoices, monthly forecasting and supporting the Regional Brand and Marketing Manager with the annual budgeting & planning process.

Experience & Capabilities

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • You will be an experienced marketing professional from retail and/or brand marketing with competency in modern, results driven marketing. You will have strong analytical understanding of local customer insights and knowledge of the competitive environments, with the ability to work as a part of a team and develop/ maintain strategic relationships across a region.

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Strategic marketing expertise including data & insights, frameworks, methodologies and channels

  • Marketing legal, risk and compliance knowledge

  • Event Management and Project Management skills

  • Proofreading and Editing Skills

  • Interpersonal and Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills

  • Financial acumen and proven performance to drive value and commercial results.

  • Strong organisational, project management and time management skills
