Primary Job Function:

• Develop appropriate financial and supply chain strategies in accordance with ID BUSINESS’s strategic objectives.
• Provide financial counsel and analysis for proposed strategic growth initiatives.
• Responsible for setting the strategic direction of all activities required for the management and administration of materials and distribution planning at the division level
• Drive development and preparation of solid financial business plans (and underlying analysis) to ensure the business delivers its financial commitments.
• Prepare periodic financial plans / updates / LBE’s in accordance with ID BUSINESS Division requirements.
• Monitor local operations performance against financial plans/updates/LBE’s and ensure management is advised on exposure issues.
• Provide actual monthly and quarterly financial data in compliance with Area, Division and Corporate Reporting requirements.
• Ensure integrity of financial books and records, establish and maintain a robust and compliant internal control environment for the business.
• Summarize and communicate complex financial situations in a clear/concise manner explaining thought processes and analysis to local Management Team and Area / Division Management.
• Support GM in key decisions and ensure responsible investment decisions.
• Advise GM in areas of profit maximization, in-licensing/out-licensing, resource prioritization, and day-to-day operations. Anticipate market activities that can impact business. Provide economic/political scenarios.
• Provide leadership to build, maintain and develop the Abbott Finance Organization.
• Implementing continuous improvement initiatives that optimize inventory turns, service levels, maximize profitability, and support dynamic changes in market conditions.

Position Accountability / Scope:

• Overall accountability of the financial stewardship of EPF Korea local affiliate.
• Accountable for forecasting of key Financial KPIs based on robust & realistic assumptions & to identify & communicate risks & opportunities to APAC Management on a timely basis to facilitate effective financial controlling.
• Ensure sound financial governance overall & be able to provide management with prompt & accurate insights on any aspects of business as requested.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant occupational health, safety and environment legislative requirements, policies and procedures and serve as a role model to all employees by demonstrating full support of Abbott occupational health, safety and environmental programs.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction for management of planning activities, processes, and data/information and systems including identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that optimize inventory turns, service levels, maximize profitability, and support dynamic changes in market condition.
• Set strategic direction and support staff in the development, implementation, and execution of supply chain processes in support of supply chain and business objectives
• Implement operating plans, budgets and capital expenditure proposals within the limits set by ID BUSINESS Finance and approved by Finance Controller.
• Manage and facilitate affiliate S&OP 4 processes, e.g. NPI, Demand, Supply and S&OP
• Ensure all logistics activities including documentation and record keeping, comply with local/international requirements and all legal & ethical standards, and meet quality system requirements.

Minimum Education/ Experience/Knowledge required:

• Bachelor’s degree
• CPA or MBA Finance preferred
• Minimum 10 years in a financial leadership (Controlling/Planning) role.
• Advanced level spreadsheet experience.
• Multi-national exposure is preferred
