Summary:

The Account Executive works closely with the Producer he/she supports to help drive business growth through support on critical functions and communications. The AE communicates regularly with current and potential customers over the phone, via email, or in-person to discover their needs, answer questions, respond to emails, and find solutions to issues. The AE ensures products and services are to customers' satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains existing customer accounts, takes care of special needs and requests, and assures client satisfaction.
  • Works with the Producer to secure new accounts.
  • Interfaces with clients on claims, coverages, and proposals for renewal and new business.
  • May prepare and deliver targeted presentations on products and services in person or web-based, explaining the benefits of product offerings.
  • Maintains relationships with insurance carriers on new business and renewal related matters.
  • Works with the marketing department but may manage the marketing process for new business and select renewals on their own.
  • Collaborates with the Producer to address potential obstacles to success and develop strategic solutions to overcome them.
  • May act as a liaison between the Producer and other team members to ensure client service standards are in line with the Producer’s goals. Provides support related to coverages, risk transfer, & complex contract review for the team.
  • Provides risk management information for clients regarding coverages in place and coverages to consider.
  • Develops management programs for categories that may include:
    • Large deductibles
    • Loss sensitive
    • Captives
    • Layered programs
  • Networks within the industry and studies the competition.
  • May chair and coordinate team meetings.
  • Handles projects at insured’s request.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, organization and project management skills.
  • Solution oriented and adaptable to change.
  • 10+ years of experience in insurance account support and/or sales role.
  • College degree in related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Georgia Insurance License
