The newly formed Global Sales Operations & Effectiveness organization is leading the transformation of sales capabilities, positioning BD to become the strongest commercial organization in MedTech. Reporting to the VP, Global Sales Enablement, the Director of Change Management is accountable for designing and executing the change and communications strategy that supports global deployment and adoption of commercial tools, processes, and capability building programs across Business Units and Regions. This role has direct visibility to the SVP, Global Sales Operations & Effectiveness and will regularly engage with BU Presidents, Regional Leaders, and Commercial Operations leadership across the enterprise. This leader will build and run an integrated change management engine that accelerates transformation outcomes by aligning stakeholders, equipping leaders, enabling end users, and ensuring clear, consistent communications that create understanding, commitment, and sustained behavior change. 

This individual must have deep expertise and a proven track record in enterprise change management, stakeholder engagement, and executive communications, with demonstrated success in driving adoption across global, matrixed organizations. The role partners closely with BU Commercial Teams, Sales Operations & Effectiveness, BD Excellence, IT, HR, Compliance, Corporate Communications, and Regional/BU leadership to deliver measurable improvements in adoption, process compliance, and sales productivity. This leader is fully accountable for delivering measurable adoption outcomes and ensuring sustained behavior changes stick across global sales organizations. This role drives change across all BD Business Units and every geographic region, requiring sensitivity to cultural differences, local regulatory environments, and regional execution models. 

Responsibilities:

Change Strategy 

  • Build, own, and drive the global change management strategy aligned to the commercial transformation roadmap (e.g., CRM/SFDC/CPQ enhancements, analytics & commercial intelligence, sales process, enablement programs). 

  • Establish a repeatable change management operating model (intake, prioritization, impact assessment, readiness, rollout, reinforcement) that scales across regions and Business Units. 

  • Define and track adoption success measures (e.g., usage, proficiency, compliance, sentiment, productivity indicators, sales pipeline impact, revenue impact) and support corrective actions when adoption lags. 

  • Proactively identify change risks (e.g., change saturation, regional readiness, training gaps)  build and execute mitigation plans aligned global deployment strategy. 

Change Readiness, Adoption, and Reinforcement 

  • Lead change impact assessments for each release/program: impacted roles, process changes, risks, training needs, communications plan, readiness gates. 

  • Design and execute rollout plans that balance global standards with local/regional needs. 

  • Implement reinforcement mechanisms: office hours, community forums, in-workflow guidance, recognition, feedback-to-fix cycles, and adoption scorecards. 

  • Drive continuous improvement by synthesizing field feedback and usage analytics into prioritized enhancements with product owners and system teams. 

  • Establish dashboards and reporting for change outcomes (adoption, proficiency, user experience, compliance, productivity) with clear leading/lagging indicators. 

  • Partner with Sales Intelligence and BU/Region teams to connect adoption signals to business outcomes (e.g., pipeline health, forecast quality, cycle time, rep productivity). 

  • Leverage AI-driven insights, digital adoption platforms, and usage analytics to accelerate behavior change and scale reinforcement globally. 

Executive Communications 

  • Partner with Corporate Communications to shape and execute clear, consistent Chief Revenue Office related change narratives and strategies across global audiences.related change narratives 

  • Develop and maintain the integrated transformation narrative spanning process rigor, technology evolution, training enhancements, and new commercial programs: the why, what, what’s changing, and what’s in it for me for leaders, managers, and sellers. 

  • Create concise, executive-ready communications in support of global deployment (e.g., talking points, leadership emails, town hall scripts, stakeholder briefings, decision memos, other related collateral). 

  • Translate complex transformation content into clear and actionable guidance for different audiences, and ensure consistent messaging across commercial teams globally, partnering with Corporate/Regional Communications as needed. 

  • Align communications with Change Management partners in relevant functions, business units or regions, cascading appropriate information & campaigns. 

Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement 

  • Identify, map and engage key stakeholders required to execute the global change strategy  

  • Success requires influencing without authority across global Sales, Marketing, IT, Operations, HR and Compliance teams. 

  • Create and run a change champion network (regional super users, BU advocates) to localize rollout, accelerate feedback loops, and reinforce adoption. 

  • Partner with Sales Enablement, Sales Intelligence, and Commercial Technology leaders and teams to ensure training, reinforcement, and manager coaching motions support the desired behavior change. 

  • Equip frontline leaders with manager-ready tools (e.g., toolkits, coaching guides, FAQs, objection handling, reinforcement cadences) to sustain adoption. 

  • Work closely with BDE Excellence and other cross functional partners to ensure integrated strategies are executed flawlessly across Businesses / Regions. 

 

Qualifications 

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in change management, communications, transformation enablement, or related roles within complex, global organizations. 

  • Proven track record leading global change programs with measurable adoption outcomes across enterprise technology/process implementations. 

  • Demonstrated expertise in change frameworks and practices, stakeholder management, readiness, and reinforcement. 

  • Exceptional executive communication skills: clear, direct, and concise in both written and verbal formats. 

  • Strong ability to translate complex process/technology changes into simple, actionable messaging tailored to different audiences. 

  • Experience partnering with Sales, Marketing, Sales Ops/RevOps, Sales Enablement, Analytics, and IT teams to drive adoption of commercial tools and processes. 

  • Experience operating in regulated environments with sensitivity to privacy/security and governance expectations (e.g., GDPR/HIPAA considerations). 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. 

  • Change management credential(s) from a recognized organization (e.g., PROSCI, ACMP, Kotter)  

Desired Skills and Experience 

  • Experience supporting commercial transformations involving CRM (e.g., Salesforce), CPQ, analytics/BI, data infrastructure, and/or workflow tools. 

  • Experience working with and or directly supporting commercial teams. 

  • Familiarity with adoption measurement approaches (usage telemetry, proficiency assessments, sentiment analysis, change saturation). 

  • Experience building change champion networks and manager enablement programs for global sales audiences. 

  • Global experience working across cultures/time zones; experience living abroad is a plus. 

  • Strong facilitation skills for executive forums, workshops, and cross-functional working sessions. 

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required, up to 50%
