General Information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Training Analyst for its South Boston, VA location. The Training Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate training records, administering the Learning Management System (LMS), and coordinating the scheduling of training sessions. This role supports the Training and Development team by ensuring training data is up-to-date, compliance standards are met, and training logistics run smoothly. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled in LMS management and data tracking. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  •  LMS Administration: Manage and update the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accuracy in training content, user records, and certification tracking. 

  • Training Coordination: Schedule and organize training sessions, including venue bookings, materials preparation, and participant notifications to ensure efficient training operations. 

  • Training Record Management: Accurately record all training completions, certifications, and attendance to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards. 

  • Data Reporting: Generate reports on training metrics, course completions, and compliance to provide insights for continuous improvement. 

  • Resource Management: Assist in preparing and distributing training materials, ensuring all necessary resources are available for each session. 

  • Employee Support: Serve as a point of contact for employees needing support with LMS access, course registration, or training requirements. 

  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to training administrative processes to enhance efficiency and data accuracy. 

  • Compliance Monitoring: Track training completions to ensure that required courses are finished on schedule, supporting regulatory and operational compliance. 

Skills: 

  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel for data tracking and reporting. 

  • Organization & Attention to Detail: Highly organized and detail-focused, with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy. 

  • Effective Communication: Strong communication skills for coordinating with employees and departments across the organization. 

  • Analytical Skills: Capable of analyzing training data to produce reports that support decision-making and highlight training trends. 

  • Customer Service Orientation: Friendly and helpful, providing excellent support to employees and ensuring a positive training experience. 

  • Problem Solving: Proactive approach to resolving issues related to LMS administration, scheduling conflicts, and recordkeeping. 

Minimum Background/Experience: 

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Data Management, or a related field is a plus. 

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in training coordination, LMS administration, or data management in a corporate or industrial environment. 

  • LMS & Data Management: Proficiency in LMS systems and experience with data management are essential. 

Preferred Background/Experience: 

  • LMS Certification: Certifications in LMS administration or training coordination are advantageous. 

  • Compliance & Manufacturing: Familiarity with training in regulated or manufacturing environments. 

  • Reporting & Analysis: Experience in creating reports and analyzing data to support continuous improvement efforts. 

  • ISO Standards Knowledge: Understanding of ISO or other compliance requirements is beneficial.
