Job Title : ABB Talent Pool – R&D Engineer / R&D Senior Engineer / R&D Team Lead / Associate Principal engineer / Principal Engineer)

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.

ABB is seeking highly motivated and innovative R&D Engineers to join its talent pool for upcoming opportunities across Process Automation ,Electrification, Automation, and Motion businesses at across multiple locations in India.

 

This position is being created as part of a talent pool activity and does not represent an immediate hiring need.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Maintaining recognized expertise in a specific area by integrating the latest developments in technologies, tools, and methodologies into your work.
• Finding new ways of solving problems by following your ideas, creating hypotheses, and defining ways to validate them.
• Documenting work results (like findings, designs, or software), allowing others to maintain and improve them.
• Understanding and initiating IP generation in your area of specialization and participating in the project IP strategy development.

Qualifications for the role

 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• You have 5 to 12 years of experience in .Net technologies
•  Experience with .Net standard, C# .Net. Angular, react, Node.js (JavaScript), Python (Django/Flask), Java (Spring Boot).
• Proficient with databases such as MS SQL, SQL lite, Mongo, Timeseries DB etc.
• Frameworks: Express.js for Node.js APIs: RESTful services, GraphQL Authentication: JWT, OAuth.
• Experience in IoT API design (e.g. REST, WebSocket) and middleware-patterns (e.g. MQTT, AMQ middleware patterns understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, architectural patterns, design tools, data structures
• Practical skills in using Docker/Kubernetes or other container orchestration technologies.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written, minimum C1 level).
