Job Description
DUTIES: Provide technical leadership to a team responsible for developing software to measure asset scope and ownership data to provide daily reports; work within LinuxOS and MacOS environment; containerize applications using Docker, and deploy containerized applications using Kubernetes; perform configuration management using Ansible and Terraform; deploy and manage infrastructure using AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch; manage infrastructure authentication and authorization using Azure AD groups; develop CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Concourse; develop software using Python, SQL, Shell, Flask, and FastAPI; use ELK, Splunk, and Grafana for monitoring; use Git and GitHub for version control; use Jira for planning, tracking, and managing work; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience working within LinuxOS and MacOS environments; containerizing applications using Docker, and deploying containerized applications using Kubernetes; performing configuration management using Ansible and Terraform; deploying and managing infrastructure using AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch; managing infrastructure authentication and authorization using Azure AD groups; developing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Concourse; of which three (3) years include developing software using Python, SQL, Shell scripts, and Flask; using ELK, Splunk, and Grafana for monitoring; using Git and GitHub for version control; and using Jira for planning, tracking, and managing work.
