Position Summary

The Director of Office of Health Mart Business Intelligence is a critical Leadership role, providing Analytics and Data Strategy across the Office of Health Mart Vertical, which includes Managed Care Services (Health Mart Atlas, Atlas Specialty, McKesson Pharmacy Medical Contracting), Reimbursement Services (ProviderPay and McKesson Reimbursement Advantage) and Franchise Offering (Health Mart).  The role oversees the business insights function for all major McKesson Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services (PSAS) Business Unit and major pharmacy segments: Strategic, Community, and Specialized Pharmacy (SCS) retail independent and smaller chains, McKesson Health Systems (MHS), Strategic National Accounts (SNA), Medically Integrated Dispensaries (MID), and Emerging pharmacies. 

They provide internal business performance, field, pharmacy customer and patient-facing insights and related solution analysis. In addition, this individual leads data governance and intelligence SOPs for the team and the PSAS organization, and partner closely with McKesson Analytics to ensure alignment and accurate representation across other scorecards throughout the enterprise. This position requires a visionary leader with extensive experience in data analytics, business strategy, and organizational leadership. The Director plays a critical role in driving decisions, fostering a culture of innovation, and leveraging data to gain a competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategic Planning

  • Provide strategic direction and vision for the organization's analytics and data strategy initiatives.
  • Lead and inspire a team of analytics professionals, setting clear goals and objectives aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that supports the organization's goals and objectives.

Data Governance and Compliance

  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Establish data management processes to ensure the organization has access to accurate and reliable data for decision-making.
  • Stay informed about evolving data privacy and security regulations to ensure compliance.

Analytics and Insights

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of advanced analytics models, tools, and systems to drive insights and improve business performance.
  • Leverage statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling techniques to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities in large datasets.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership based on data analysis and interpretation.

Business Strategy Alignment

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to understand business needs and align analytics initiatives with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Translate business challenges into actionable analytics projects and initiatives that deliver measurable value.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement based on data insights and industry best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including executive leadership, business units, and external partners.
  • Effectively communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making at all levels.
  • Champion the use of data and analytics to drive a data-driven culture and promote the value of analytics across the organization.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline; Master's degree or MBA preferred.

Critical Skills

  • 12 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving business impact through data-driven insights.
  • 4 years of management experience overseeing analytics and data strategy initiatives.
  • Deep expertise in data analysis tools and software, such as SQL, Python, R, or Tableau.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and the ability to align analytics initiatives with business strategy.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and compliance best practices.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry or a similar field is preferred.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of McKesson data and solutions preferred. 
  • Healthcare industry experience

Salary: 130,500.00 - 174,000.00 - 217,500.00 USD Annual (Target 145K with 20% MIP)

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$130,500 - $217,500
