The Technology Chief Controls Office (CCO) team is a Line 1 risk team responsible for supporting CBA in continuing to mature its risk culture and establish and maintain strong risk practices.

Technology CCO is responsible for providing end to end risk advice and guidance. We support our delivery teams across CommBank in their development and operation of solutions ranging across innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business.

Do work that matters:

This role will lead a number of project streams which make up the Accelerated Automated Controls Assurance Program. The program aims to automate activities necessary in determining IT General Control effectiveness. Utilising primarily the ServiceNow Integrated Risk Module, (2000+ users), AWS technologies and AI. Excellent judgement is needed to plot a course that allows us to move at pace in a complex environment, balancing speed vs delivery risks. Our outcomes impact the entire organisation, so stakeholder engagement and strong communication skills are essential.

Key responsibilities for this role includes:

  • Manage large and/or complex streams of work to achieve the Group's strategic objectives through targeted and agreed outcomes

  • Effectively manage relationships and communications with program stakeholders, including end users and program and project delivery (including IT) teams

  • Structure program and project teams for success incorporating required skills in WWA/Agile

  • Develop robust and achievable program and project plans to manage the delivery of quality project deliverables

  • Balance schedule, cost and quality in reaching decisions relating to project/program delivery

  • Manage relationships with vendors and third party suppliers

  • Continuously contribute to TCCO’s project and program delivery capability

  • Manage and coach Project Managers in the delivery of their assigned projects. Participate in the overall development of Project Managers

  • Evaluate effectiveness of project management tools, processes and methodologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement

  • Advocate for and advise the business on using appropriate tools, practices and frameworks to enable execution of risk reduction and proactive risk management

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Experience in managing simple to moderately complex projects in a fast paced, changing environment involving numerous distributed and diverse Technologies.

  • Sound Data Management principles and experience in executing strategy

  • Advanced delivery governance and reporting skills

  • Knowledge and experience in using delivery lifecycle methodologies
