Job Description Summary:
This position performs a wide range of duties and serves in a Lead capacity as applicable to the assigned area(s) procedures and protocol.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience required. Experience in healthcare required.
- Possess knowledge of the proper use of commercial equipment and devices required.
- CPR may be required per assigned area(s).
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
- Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
- To be eligible for the Driver portion of the position:
- Current Driver’s License required.
- Driving record for the previous thirty-six (36) months must not reflect any major driving offenses (i.e; DUI, convicted of a felony involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three (3) or more speeding tickets or other moving violations, etc.).
- In addition, personal vehicles used for LH business:
- State law minimum liability coverage limits required.
Job Specific Duties:
- Prioritizes job functions to maintain proper workflow for assigned area(s).
- Assists leadership with goal setting and follow through for assigned area(s). Consistently follows up on accurate and timely completion of assignments. Inspects areas and provides feedback and coaching, as needed and as applicable to assigned area(s).
- Professionally interacts and serves as a liaison to other Logan Health (LH) departments for matters concerning assigned area(s).
- Assists employees with the interpretation of department guidelines/organization policies. Recommends updates to assigned leadership for guidelines/procedures in assigned area(s).
- Adapts to the changing rules and regulations in the assigned area(s), understands and utilizes current technology as related to position. Exhibits flexibility and organization while functioning calmly and efficiently in a changing environment.
- Proactively identifies and performs job duties that enhance the environment per department procedure. Works along side assigned staff performing job duties and monitoring personnel.
- Stocks and restocks in an orderly manner per department procedure and maintains par levels and ordering as applicable to assigned area(s).
- Ensures all training/coaching deadlines are met. Assists in training and implementation of new chemicals, equipment, and/or programs as applicable to assigned area(s).
- Stays up to date and provides training on organizational protocol and procedures in the assigned area(s). Responsible for the handling of all potentially hazardous material to be disposed of by the assigned area(s).
- As applicable to assigned area(s): Maintains an organized Lost & Found program and ensures effort is made to reconnect lost items with owners.
- Lead may be expected to perform one (1) or more of the following tasks regularly:
- Creates work schedule and assigns employees to specific work tasks.
- Trains or coordinates the training of employees.
- Oversees and coordinates successful completion of employees’ competency assessments and required training.
- Acts as point-of-contact/subject matter expert for employee questions about expectations and processes.
- Assists in interviewing job candidates.
- Leads or coordinates compliance and quality efforts.
- Other duties as assigned at the discretion of management, excluding issuing corrective actions or administering performance evaluations.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
