Role and Responsibilities

Insights-driven strategies development and ownership

  • Guide Insights and Research team to develop data driven strategies and recommendations for audience targeting, positioning, messaging and go-to-market
  • Own and lead analysis of the brand health, user acquisition and retention, and launches/campaigns performance on a regular basis.
  • Own marketing presence at the strategic business reviews (with SEA and Global business leadership).

              

Translation of global marketing playbooks into marketing strategies and plans relevant in the US

  • Collaborate and influencer Global Mobile Marketing stakeholders in building US-focused strategies and plans.
  • Translate global brand and product positioning into communications and opportunities relevant in the US.

Product launch and always-on marketing planning and execution

  • Lead audience strategies, positioning, messaging, communications strategy and campaigns planning.
  • Develop the strategy, annual calendar, and plans for mobile marketing across HHP and NCME launches, sustain initiatives, seasonal campaigns, including investment planning and team resourcing planning and organization.
  • Own Marketing KPIs development on an annual and quarterly basis, aligned to business and overall marketing goals. Lead tracking, analysis and reporting.
  • Develop go-to-market plans for all mobile product launches to drive awareness, consideration, purchase intent and conversion: positioning and messaging, marketing toolkits, media plans, creative campaigns, by launch phase planning and measurement.                                      

Cross-category marketing visions and initiatives

  • Lead MX cross-portfolio initiatives: CRN (Certified Renewed), Why Galaxy, USH Marketing: from insights analysis to campaign strategies, marketing briefs, planning, execution and measurement, learning agenda.
  • Deliver innovative ways to create new sources of business growth through audience, channel, partner expansion, strategic go-to-market and creative innovation.     

People leadership

  • Lead and grow a team of product marketers, foster a culture of respect, ownership, collaboration and innovation.
  • Act as a “quarterback” within SEA Mobile Marketing team, engage and guide other marketing functions and experts (media, brand and integrated marketing, partnerships, social, influencers, channel marketing etc.).
  • Own strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to build insights-driven mobile business strategies, foster collaboration, and cross-functional innovation.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (business, marketing, communications)
  • 16+ years of relevant experience in strategic marketing or sales
  • Leadership of the holistic product marketing team (from insights to strategy and execution) across individual categories but also MX portfolio marketing strategy and plan.
  • Strategic thinking, problem solving at a complex and fast pace, ability to navigate conflicting priorities and stakeholders within SEA and Globally.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) to effectively work with all stakeholders (internal, agency, account teams, customer teams, Suwon etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record of leading integrated media and go-to-market for a complex product portfolio.
  • Experience growing global brands, with a focus on technology, lifestyle and entertainment industries.
  • Ability to translate global frameworks into audience, positioning, messaging, campaigns relevant for the US.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills. Ability to dissect large amounts of data into clear opportunities for marketing and business.
  • A positive “all-hands-on-deck” attitude and willingness to get the job done. Ability to balance setting the strategy AND rolling up your sleeves with the team and agency partners.
  • Able to pivot strategically based on campaign and channel performance.
