What this job involves: 

We are looking for a Team Lead, Digital Marketing to support our email marketing endeavors (Eloqua) and drive the ongoing growth and success of the JLL business. This role combines hands-on digital marketing expertise with people management responsibilities, leading a team of digital marketing professionals. 

People Management & Leadership Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and mentor a team of 5-7 digital marketing professionals, providing guidance on career development, performance management, and skill enhancement 

  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and goal-setting sessions with direct reports 

  • Recruit, onboard, and train new team members in digital marketing best practices and JLL processes 

  • Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth 

  • Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining accountability and quality standards across team deliverables 

  • Provide coaching and feedback to help team members develop technical and soft skills 

  • Manage team workload and capacity planning to ensure optimal resource allocation and deadline management 

The Team Lead will oversee the execution of all business processes for building product release plans and their expansion, while managing team performance and development. You'll support the digital team to deliver important email marketing campaigns, governance initiatives, and coordinate with marketing teams across different regions. 

Team Leadership & Collaboration: As a people manager, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining a high-performing team culture. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring efficiency, consistency, and timely delivery of projects. Managing team dynamics, resolving conflicts, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration with design, website teams, business users, product owners, and stakeholders will be core to your role. 

Required Experience & Qualifications: 

  • 7-9 years of experience in email marketing  

  • Experience in performance management, coaching, and talent development 

  • Breadth of transferable skills with strong leadership capabilities 

Essential Leadership Qualities: 

  • Exceptional people management and team building skills 

  • Ability to motivate and inspire team members while maintaining high performance standards 

  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities 

  • Experience in resource planning and team capacity management 

  • A good eye for detail with strong delegation skills 

  • Process driven with ability to establish team workflows and standards 

  • Proven ability to develop talent and succession planning 

  • Thrive on meeting tight deadlines while supporting team members under pressure 

Technical & Operational Leadership: 

  • Previous experience working in Email Marketing platforms – Eloqua preferred 

  • Ability to train and upskill team members on marketing automation platforms 

  • Experience working with international teams and managing distributed teams 

  • Business standard English (written and spoken) a must 

  • Superior communication skills for team meetings, presentations, and stakeholder management 

  • Strong quantitative, strategic, and data visualization skills with ability to teach these skills to others 

  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS with capability to mentor team on technical skills 

Team Management & Project Leadership: As an efficient and productive team leader, you'll manage multiple functions across timelines while ensuring your team has a comprehensive understanding of project management, especially related to various digital functions such as Social Media, Eloqua, Website Analytics, and more. 

Key Team Leadership Responsibilities: 

  • Lead project teams in planning, scheduling, and work delivery, including completion of timelines and cost estimates 

  • Manage team performance against strict turnaround times while fostering a problem-solving approach 

  • Keep the team updated on new innovations and services in the industry through regular training and knowledge sharing 

  • Conduct team meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement 

Guiding and Developing Teams: As the people manager in charge, your overall support to ensure team efficiency, consistency, and timely delivery of projects will be crucial. Leading cross-functional teams, including design and website teams, as well as managing relationships with business users, product owners, and stakeholders, will be part of your daily responsibilities. You will drive team adoption of agile designs and engineering practices while mentoring team members in automated testing, risk management, and standardization. 

Team Development & Training: 

  • Develop individual development plans for each team member 

  • Organize training sessions on marketing automation tools and best practices 

  • Create standard operating procedures and ensure team adherence 

  • Monitor team productivity and implement improvement strategies 

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions and cross-training initiatives 

Stakeholder Management & Team Representation: 

  • Represent your team in senior leadership meetings and strategic planning sessions 

  • Manage upward communication regarding team performance, challenges, and What we can do for you.
