Position Summary

**This is either a hybrid or virtual opportunity and qualified candidates will be able to work West Coast hours**


Assists the West Region Compliance Director and compliance leadership with maintaining, implementing, and monitoring compliance with California laws and regulations. Designs, develops, implements, and promotes awareness of the organization's business ethics policies. Investigates allegations of non-compliance and develops safeguards to reduce the risk of repeat or future non-compliance.

What you will do

  • Advises on tactical and operational plans to achieve the individual contributor Business Compliance area's goals, and communicates plans to managers, supervisors, and individual contributors, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Submits regulatory filings to California regulatory agencies: Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) and California Department of Insurance (CDI).
  • Monitors and communicates changes in state and federal requirements to internal stakeholders and business partners, including developing key performance indicators to measure compliance with requirements.
  • Facilitates with ensuring strict team compliance with policies and procedures to achieve the organization's Business Compliance goals and objectives through audits and training.
  • Audits responses to regulatory inquiries, working to identify and mitigate individual contributor's compliance risks throughout all departments.
  • Contributes to the development of individual contributor compliance policies and procedures to ensure safe and lawful operations.
  • Coordinates and implements solutions for individual contributor's compliance gaps, communicating with key business partners including senior managers and executives to ensure regulations are followed concisely.
  • Develops operations for analyzing and communicating routine individual contributor compliance procedures and action plans throughout the organization.
  • Allocates operational aspects of the team including budget, schedule, and performance, and implements compliance and succession plans to meet business objectives within the laws and regulations.


Required Qualifications

  • 7-10 years work experience including strong familiarity with the Knox Keene Act and the California Insurance Code.
  • Adept at problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Adept at project management, execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting).

Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification, or equivalent work experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$75,400.00 - $182,549.40


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
