Essential Functions

Utilize FNI CAD software, standards, and equipment to prepare and revise technical plans and specifications. Work as part of project team and follow direction of design task lead to prepare preliminary and final design plan and profile drawings for municipal stormwater and roadway infrastructure related projects. Ability to understand client design criteria and standards and apply that knowledge in the preparation of technical plans and specifications with minimal input from engineer. Interpret sketches and markups by design task lead or client to efficiently incorporate updates and revisions to design plans. Perform quality control of deliverables to ensure all comments from design task lead and client have been incorporated into plans and specifications. Adhere to FNI CAD document control standards and file organization structure. Understand and incorporate data from topographic surveyor and subsurface utility engineer deliverables in support of design task lead. Demonstrate skill in working with AutoCAD Civil 3D to perform earthwork calculations and develop or manipulate digital terrain models. Willingness to learn new skills and work with other CAD staff to advance FNI objective of continuous improvement. Keep up to date with CAD software and training. Other duties as assigned.
