What the role is

The role of Data/Information Mgt Sr Analyst and will be part of AIM team based out of Bengaluru/Chennai, India supporting Strategic Information/MIS solutions to Operations.

The MIS team supports generating seamless insights on Operations key metrics in all banking process ranging from Collections, Customer service, Core operations to ATM ops. This helps Operations and Key stakeholders to run the bank efficiently and enable data driven decisions. These insights also ensure operations to meet cost within budget and propel better customer experience.

In this role, you would work along a highly talented team of analyst to build reporting and monitoring solutions to track key business metrics and support Operations MIS activities.

  • Design and development - MIS and Business reporting (BAU and Adhoc), responsibilities across the business channels and management.
  • Ability to understand the business, develop data-driven solutions to address business problems and independently manage end-to-end project communication with business partners.
  • Build Solution Design and develop the solution by using appropriate tool/technology including SAS, MS Excel and BI Tools.
  • Work with Technology & Operations teams to design & implement changes to suite of information systems & tools.
  • Work closely with partners across business units to understand project requirements, timely delivery, and stakeholder management.

The key requirement for officer (Analyst 2) role is the ability to understand the business, develop data-driven solutions to address business problems with minimal handholding and to manage end-to-end project communication with business partners. The individual will possess the ability to work in teams and display a proactive learning attitude.

Core Responsibilities

  • Data Extraction and Data Manipulation: Take ownership in extracting data from various data sources. This would require an understanding of project objectives, data requirements and working with databases to meet the data needs for the project.
  • MIS Reporting and Data Analysis: Undertake complex analysis to accomplish the project objective. Code, Test and Execute information systems projects. Standardization and Efficient production of    MIS reports achieved by having a standardized data flow, common definitions of metrics, consistent MIS formats.
  • Business Knowledge: Develop understanding of the Operations Analytics domain/function.
  • Teamwork: Develop cross-site relationships to enhance leverage of ideas. Set and manage partner expectations.
  • Communication and Relationship: Independently manage end-to-end project/partner communication across the various levels in the organization. It is extremely critical to develop and maintain smooth relationship with partners across business unit.
  • Ability to multitask on the activities assigned and meet the required SLA’s on timelines and accuracy. Support on transitioning reports from onshore teams.
  • Design and development - MIS and Business reporting (BAU and Adhoc), business analysis , other data requirements (Code, Test and Execute ) and assist with simple analytics requirements ( this is not a modeling / complex analytics role)
  • Build Solution Design and develop the solution by using appropriate tool/technology including SAS, VBA, MS Excel and BI Tools.
  • Send sample data for UAT and Complete the delivery post sign-off
  • Ability to understand the business, develop data-driven solutions to address business problems and independently manage end-to-end project communication with business partners

Qualifications

  • Must have 2-4 years of work experience largely in the BI / Reporting space
  • Experience on handling transition of MIS / reports.
  • Must have expertise working with SQL/SAS
  • Understanding of Systems and  Technology Platforms
  • Must have exposure working with Tableau and other visualization / reporting tools.
  • SSIS, SSRS Experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in an Operations role is preferable.
  • Good to have working experience on MS Office Package (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. with VBA)
  • Knowledge of Python/Pyspark is an added plus
