Zola is seeking a Senior Associate, People Operations to join our People team. We are looking for someone with a passion for people and is not afraid to hit the ground running.  This person will have exposure to all areas of HR and will be responsible for the day-to-day people operations such as new hire onboarding and offboarding, HR program management, benefits management, and employee inquiries. We are hard-working, collaborative and a lot of fun!

This role is a hybrid role and will be based out of our New York City office.

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the full onboarding and offboarding process for all employees in coordination with IT, the hiring manager and the Talent Team
  • Maintain our HRIS system, Justworks, ensuring all employee data is accurate; handle reporting as needed
  • Support recruitment efforts by posting roles, scheduling all interviews and completing reference checks
  • Manage administration and communication of People programs including performance reviews, Zola’s employee engagement survey, leaves of absence and benefits open enrollment
  • Calendar management for Zola’s co-CEOs and CFO
  • Support company events/initiatives as needed with the Talent and Office Management team
  • Handling ad hoc employee requests; i.e. employment verification letters, benefits questions, etc.

Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of experience in human resources or recruitment 
  • Bachelor's degree required 
  • Well-rounded understanding of HR best practices regarding employee experience, talent acquisition, development, and engagement 
  • Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking System preferred (Justworks or Greenhouse is a plus) 
  • Comfortable working in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to flexibly manage competing priorities and ambiguity 
  • Well-developed communications and interpersonal skills 
  • A passion for customer service and people 

The salary range for this position is $70,000-$85,000.
