An exceptional opportunity awaits an experienced and senior administrator to work with a dynamic and innovative team.

The role

As an integral part of the team, this role involves providing support to one of our Corporate M&A Partners, and where required, their wider team. As an experienced legal support professional, you will manage the administrative responsibilities and utilise your expertise in billing processes to ensure seamless support to the practice, within a supportive and collegiate environment. This role will be worked in a part-time capacity, with Monday and Tuesday as the preferred working days each week.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide high-level secretarial and administrative support
  • Diary management including organising client meetings and facilitating travel arrangements
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of pre-bills and accounts on a monthly basis, and client reporting requirements
  • File management and handling including opening and closing matters
  • Undertaking conflict searches on firm data base and preparing conflict emails
  • Manage general accounts, reporting, monthly billing, and expenses
  • Administer quality and risk responsibilities for the Practice, ensuring compliance at the highest level
  • Team player, willing to step in and assist and take initiative to assist in the smooth operation of a high performing corporate practice consisting of 3 partners and a wider team

Skills & Experience

To excel in this high performing role, you need:

  • Proven and distinguished experience in a legal administrative, or similar role within a corporate environment
  • Japanese verbal and written skills are desirable
  • Experience in billing processing using Aderant Expert is preferrable, or a similar billing system  
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach with a demonstrable drive to contribute to the business's profound success
  • The ability to build and nurture positive relationships with Partners, the wider team and colleagues
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, especially in high-pressure situations
  • Advanced technical skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with meticulous attention to detail
