What You’ll Get to Do:
To meet the goal of increased operational data availability and integrity, and having this data meet our operations assurance needs, the software engineer serving in this role will provide support to 5 key projects under one of our customer's core strategic pillars. The person serving in this role will provide dedicated focus and effort applying their technical skills to solve direct mission efficiency challenges. These tasks will include a variety of automation to standardize and streamline mission preparatory work streams. These key projects include extract/transform/load (ETL) of data sets, customization and standardization to integrate applications as necessary, improvements to automate documentation of common tasks, collection management activities, and a range of other priority work task automations. The best candidate will be someone who is flexible and can work multiple tasks simultaneously with little supervision.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
TS/SCI with required level of polygraph clearance
7+ years of experience in software design and development
Experience with task automation through scripting/coding for applications and infrastructure-related tasks
High level understanding of Linux (RHEL preferred)
- File system & mounting
- System/network configuration
- Storage & backup configuration
Familiarity with data warehousing principles, software and tools
- Apache, HDFS, Snowflake, Solr/ElasticSearch
- MySQL, Postgres, JSON, etc.
Familiarity with handling of large commercial data sets
