About the Role:

Hex is growing, and seeing more and more traction in larger organizations. In many ways, these “Enterprise” customers have the most to gain from Hex: their current data workflows can be fragmented and archaic, and our product can radically change the way they make decisions.

And let’s face it – there’s a lot of value there! Succeeding in Enterprise is the destination of every successful SaaS company, and we certainly intend to be successful.

For us to capture this opportunity, however, we need to deliver on an increasingly-complex set of platform capabilities to meet the governance, organization, and integration needs of these larger customers. And that’s where this role comes in.

As the Product Lead for our “Supernova” team, you'll unlock untold riches as we expand in enterprises. You'll work with a talented crew to build capabilities that unlock new customers, enhance our governance and admin tools, and improve our ecosystem integrations.

It’d be wrong to model this role as a generic “Enterprise PM” – the goal here isn’t just to build random customer-request features, but to really set and own the strategy of how our platform can succeed and thrive in larger and more complex customers.

What you'll do:

  • First and foremost, work closely with our incredible Supernova engineers, awesome customers, and amazing GTM teams.
  • Drive the product strategy for Supernova, ensuring we're building the right features that deliver maximum value to our enterprise customers
  • Think critically about why, how, and when to build certain things, staying away from the team becoming a feature factory or falling into big-customer-roadmap-capture.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and GTM teams to deliver high-impact features that solve real customer problems (not fake made up ones, which is depressingly common!)
  • Develop close relationships with our customers, building a deep understanding of their critical needs and wildest fantasies, and then getting everyone aligned on how we can make them come true
  • Partner with GTM teams to ensure smooth feature rollouts and effective enablement
  • Cultivate a sense of ambition and focus within the Supernova team, driving towards ambitious goals

What we're looking for:

This is a highly technical PM role that will only be a fit for someone with direct experience either building software, or partnering closely with teams that have in a technical field role.

  • ~3-5 years of hands-on experience as either a Product Manager, very product-engaged Solutions/Sales Engineer, or very customer-engaged Engineer, and 6-10 years of career experience overall.
  • Excitement and alignment with our philosophy on Product Management
  • Experience with technical products, and demonstrated ability to dive deep into complex systems.
  • Experience with enterprise features such as governance, security, and authentication
  • A track record of close partnership with Field teams, including a list of references of people in GTM roles who will sing your praises.
  • Similarly, a trail of delighted customers partners in your wake – we’d like to talk to some of them, too.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for various audiences, including field teams.
  • We’d prefer – but aren’t requiring – experience in the data and analytics market, or at least a demonstrable interest and desire to dive in and learn very quickly.
  • We are explicitly not looking for a PM who sees their role as primarily project management or just driving “strategy”, at the expense of paying attention to detail or spending time with customers
