We are looking for a Staff, Product Manager – Data ingestion platforms for the Customer Data Platform team to advance the way we empower internal teams with best-in-class customer data products and platform at scale. The team collaborates with product, engineering, and business teams, such as eCommerce, Marketing, Walmart +, Data Ventures, and Walmart Connect, to create a holistic and consistent digital view of customers’ relationship with Walmart.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Shaping the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for data ingestion platforms, encompassing both 1st and 3rd party real-time or batched data streams within the company
  • Strategically analyzing the end-to-end data onboarding journey, driving automation and optimization initiatives within the data ingestion pipelines to ensure seamless data collection and processing from diverse sources, while maintaining comprehensive data coverage
  • Spearheading initiatives to establish robust data monitoring capabilities, ensuring data quality and reliability throughout the ingestion process
  • Collaborating closely with upstream application teams, privacy, and legal departments to implement consent management, anonymization, masking, and data encryption measures as necessary
  • Partnering with various internal stakeholders such as Walmart Connect, Data Ventures, Walmart+, and Marketing teams to understand their data requirements and translate them into clear priorities and requirements for the engineering team
  • Defining and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to gauge product success, aiming to establish the customer data platform as the centralized, trusted source for all customer-level data within Walmart
  • Staying abreast of industry trends and advancements in data ingestion, management, privacy, and security, leveraging this knowledge to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree required/MBA a plus.
  • 8 years in Product Management including at least 2 years of experience working on data platform. Retail industry experience is a plus.
  • Quantitative or technical background is preferred.
  • Sound business judgment as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize.
  • Must be able and willing to think and act strategically and tactically.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, proven ability to influence others internally and externally.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to deliver results.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful product roadmaps and initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market trends in the retail space.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
