ANALYTICS AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (AIM)

Citi AIM was established in 2003 and is located across multiple cities in India – Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune and Mumbai. It is a global community that objectively connects and analyzes information, to create actionable intelligence for our business leaders. It identifies fact-based opportunities for revenue growth in partnership with the businesses. The function balances customer needs, business strategy, and profit objectives using best in class and relevant analytics methodologies.

The role defines a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• MIS reporting and visualization:
  • Best practices-led complex analysis for creating insightful reports using Tableau as per project objective
  • Efficient logic development, testing, and execution of the project
  • Able to work in a highly agile environment and able to quickly pivot based on requirement changes
• Data Transformation:
  • Manipulate and aggregate data extracted from multiple data sources
  • Responsible for various data activities, which include database administration, data analysis, maintenance, data quality, and database management or database architecture / design engineering
  • Good understanding of the underlying data sources and transform it as per requirements
• Sharing of results:
  • Expected to generate relevant insights and create decks for leadership presentation
  • Quick synthesis of the analysis results
• Domain Knowledge:
  • Develop an understanding of the domain / business and build expertise within Wealth Operations area
  • Document details and create standardized use cases for FAQs and process documents
• Teamwork:
  • Develop cross-site relationships for leveraging ideas.
  • Manage partner expectations and manage delivery with complete accuracy and on time delivery
• Other responsibilities:
  • Data driven solutions, models, insights and work on time challenging, critical releases
  • Audit ready and documented quality checks
  • Guide and help juniors in the team
  • Project plan maintenance, accountability and adherence for the project objective
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

This role is for an individual contributor career pathway. Though the individual would be working in a team setup and would need to mentor and help some juniors as needed, the performance evaluation and the career growth path would be that of an individual contributor and not a team manager.

MUST HAVE

• Bachelors or Masters degree with 8 + years of experience in data analytics and Banking / Financials services support project for at least 2 years
• 5 - 6 years Tableau (including server too) hands-on experience, should be very comfortable with advanced techniques and logic
• Should be comfortable preparing wireframes and dashboard designs
• Experienced in SQL and querying data from databases
• Experience working with large and multiple datasets, data warehouses and ability to query / transform data
• Worked on JIRA, bitbucket and other process management interfaces
• Strong process/project management skills
• Ability to guide and mentor juniors
• Should have worked in BFSI sector and must have industry knowledge.

PREFERRED

• Working experience in Python/Pyspark, Hive, Impala
• Control orientated and Risk awareness
• Knowledge & Experience in BFSI Operations
• Prior experience in Data Engineering, Process Automation
