The Bose Sales team helps deliver Bose products to consumers who share our passion for sound, through collaboration with external retail partners and internal strategic partners.  

 

In this role, you’ll report into the Director of Global Sales Operations and you’ll play a critical role with the Sales management teams in Europe, ANZ and our Distributor Markets.

  

About Sales Operations:

The role is in London, UK leading the Sales Operations team. This team is part of the Sales function and is responsible for the smooth running of operational activities linked to strategic planning, account management, sales forecasting, reporting and analytics, market insights and daily execution. The team partners with colleagues across all functions within the Company.

About the role:

The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for managing the team supporting our European, Australian and Distributor markets outside of the Americas.  This team is responsible for providing accurate and timely support to the sales teams, functional colleagues and retail partners on sales performance and operational execution. S/He will have deep knowledge of consumer electronics retailing, sales operations processes and process design and experience managing a global team.  The Sales Operations Manager will be a trusted adviser to the regional sales vice presidents.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as “Sales Chief Operating Officer” for Europe, Middle East, India, KASEAN and Australia regions.  Be the in-region owner of all sales operations processes.
  • Manage team of people in Europe, Middle East and Australia.
  • Coordinate with global colleagues to design and execute internal and customer-facing go-to-market processes and improvement projects.
  • Specific areas of team responsibility
    • Provide pipeline and revenue forecast management, reporting, and analytics to provide insights into account performance and S&OE forecast
    • Schedule, design and create presentations for management reviews (e.g. Quarterly Readiness, Quarterly Performance, Senior Leadership Team reviews, Peak Season and New Product performance)
    • Coordinate closely with finance team on creating performance dashboards and KPIs for accounts and any account planning activities
    • Coordinate with Bose colleagues to ensure timely and accurate sell-through and sell-out reporting
    • Coordinate across teams on customer needs and terms and conditions for effective and timely resolution
    • Ensure all Bose and customer needs in SAP C4C and the Dealer Portal are up-to-date and maintained including BDF status, order status, shipments, invoicing, credit limits

Capabilities:

  • Fluent in English.  Additional languages are a plus.
  • Deep understanding of sales operational processes (e.g planning, forecasting, inventory and order management, credit, BDF and accounting)
  • Extraordinary customer-focus and service orientation.  Curious and eager to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications (proven ability to manipulate data in Excel and PowerBI) and ERP systems (SAP)
  • Deep knowledge of data warehousing and mining
  • Ability to perform well in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work cross functionally and coordinating with other teams
  • Ability to work across time zones

Experience:

  • 15 years of experience in Sales, Sales Operations, Sales & Business Planning, Sales/Market Analysis, Product/Trade Marketing or Finance
  • BS in finance, economics, management, operations or similar technical degree
  • MBA is highly desirable
  • Experience managing teams and working with senior leadership
  • Experience in complex project management
  • Experience in reading and understanding data, forming insights and developing recommendations
  • Experience getting results without direct authority over resources and people
