The Specialty Gas Products Manager drives sales growth and profitability by developing and implementing strategic initiatives in collaboration with regional and national Airgas teams. This role oversees the design and execution of marketing, sales, and product management programs while optimizing gas supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Strategic Growth & Road mapping: Develop and execute a US business roadmap to increase sales volume and profit, utilizing benchmarking against competitors and affiliates to guide regional strategy.
  • Sales Enablement & Training: Accelerate sales readiness by onboarding regional teams through technical instruction, regulatory compliance education, and standardized selling frameworks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive cross-selling opportunities across Airgas and Air Liquide organizations by leveraging strategic relationships, referrals, and deep product knowledge.
  • Market Penetration & Project Leadership: Identify and prioritize national project leads, providing guided pursuit strategies and solution alignment to improve opportunity conversion and business growth.
  • Operational & Pricing Support: Assist market sectors and regions with price management and optimize the gas supply chain to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Product Lifecycle & Innovation: Establish business cases for new product line offerings, including leading product roll-outs, brand alternates, and OEM business development initiatives.
  • Strategic Marketing & Engagement: Maximize ROI from trade shows, digital platforms, and major customer meetings by aligning messaging, targeting audiences, and serving as a technical subject matter expert.

Are you a MATCH?

Required Experience:

  • Core Experience: 5-10 years in the specialty gas industry, product management, product launch, and data mining.

  • Education: Business, Sales, or Technical degree.

  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in SAP and expert-level skills in spreadsheet/document tools (Excel, Word, Google Suite: Sheets, Docs, Slides).

  • Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated career progression in commercial, technical, and leadership roles. Must possess the ability to lead by influence (internally and externally), provide concise/precise communications to all management levels, and rapidly absorb complex technical/business concepts.

  • Strategic & Analytical Skills: Proven data-driven business acumen, with the ability to extract, analyze, and present data for fast decision-making. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple critical deadlines.

  • Competencies: Entrepreneurial, action-oriented, results-driven, and skilled at identifying value-add solutions for complex opportunities.

Preferred Experience:

  • Advanced Education: MBA.

  • Specialized Software: Experience with Salesforce and access/familiarity with PPM.

  • Digital Innovation: Comfortable utilizing AI tools (e.g., Gemini, NotebookLM) for message refinement and communication polish.

  • Strategic Focus: Experience in Strategic Account Management, CRM & Pipeline Governance, and Market Expansion Strategy.

  • Operational Optimization: Experience in Revenue & Profit Optimization, Contract & Pricing Strategy, Specialty Gas Commercialization, and Team Training/Leadership.
