About the role:

As the Director of Pricing Strategy for Cards & Network, you will lead and set the pricing strategy for our Debit Network (NYCE) and Card Issuing businesses, as we look to drive product growth and set market-leading commercial and pricing structures. This is a full cycle role that will include developing the strategy, modeling analytics and pricing, and implementing plans to drive revenue realization. You will be part of a central strategic pricing team while directly supporting and partnering with executive leaders and GMs of our Network and Cards businesses. There will be heavy cross-functional engagement with stakeholders across Product, Sales, Relationship Management, and Finance.

About the team:

The Banking Solutions Product Pricing & Strategy team is a strategic function in the Banking Pricing Organization leading pricing strategy and product pricing for our full portfolio of Banking products, including payments, cards & money movement, networks, core banking, and digital solutions.

The team includes pricing analysts, specialists, and managers, who partner with stakeholders across product & business lines, sales, and finance to set new product pricing and optimize and commercialize our existing solution set.   

What you will be doing:

  • Manages the pricing strategy for the FIS Debit Network and Card Issuing products, including defining and setting the standard price structure, components, and price points, with a strong focus on value and market-based pricing to achieve business objectives   
  • Leverages payments knowledge and pricing expertise and partners with key business and sales stakeholders to test new pricing approaches
  • Runs in-depth analytics on existing portfolio of clients and current pricing to identify opportunity areas across client types (regulated issuers, non-regulated issuers, acquirers, merchants) and optimize performance in market
  • Builds pricing models and engages on key strategic deals, client opportunities, or RFPs to apply winning commercial strategies in market
  • Owns management of list prices and becomes FIS NYCE & Cards subject-matter expert
  • Partners with the business to ensure pricing strategy is aligned with the businesses objectives, product cycles, sales plans, and go-to-market strategy 
  • Provides thought leadership on pricing strategy, with innovative ideas, to set market-leading pricing structures


What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services and payments (payment networks or other related payments solutions) with roles in Pricing, Strategy, Finance, Product Management, or related functions
  • Experience leading projects from scoping to analysis to delivery and implementation with the ability to engage at an executive and leadership level
  • A strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skillset with an attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: establishing personal and professional relationships among diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience pricing payment network products and solutions with knowledge of factors and fee types that impact economics across merchants, acquirers, networks, and issuers
  • In-depth understanding of payment networks, key players, and commercial structures

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $153,180.00 - $257,360.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
