Technical Lead - Regulatory Reporting

What you'll do:

The primary expectation of this role is to provide technical expertise for implementation of regulatory reporting tools, creation of custom regulatory reports, automation of data processes, and extensive experience with regulatory requirements among other business areas in financial industry.

This position is ONSITE ONLY located in either Phoenix, AZ or Dallas, TX.

What we are looking for:

  • Implementation and support of regulatory reporting tools.
  • Experienced in building job scheduling using tools like Control M.
  • Lead design and architecture, development of regulatory reports, data process automation, unit testing and integration, and cutover activities.
  • Provide detailed task planning, effort estimation and progress tracking to the project manager for all development related activities and ensure the development team deliver to project plans.  
  • Actively participate in risk management and change management on projects.
  • Work with SI and other vendor resources to come up with a sound technical design.
  • Ensure the prescribed development best practice processes are followed, and all deliverables are completed to the required (high) quality.
  • Work with functional leads to ensure the technical solution are fit for purpose.
  • Assist in defining and optimizing simple yet effective business processes and drive change within the organization through negotiation and consensus-building.
  • Manage business expectations and ensure user satisfaction.
  • Provide hands on implementation and post implementation support utilizing prescribed software design lifecycle techniques and system documentation techniques (AIMS/OUM).
  • Develop solutions across multiple IT domains (APIs / services, Portals, Web /Mobile solutions, Integration Services, Core Application Services, Stored Procedures, SSIS packages).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, CIS, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years’ experience working on implementation, support, and maintenance of regulatory reporting tools.
  • 7+ years’ experience in development, implementation, and integration of multiple and/or complex business systems within an organization.
  • Strong understanding of 2052a, CCAR, FFIEC, FR-Y15, FR-Y14, and other regulatory reports.
  • Experience in Banking / Financial Services industry (preferred).
  • Experience in Azure, AWS [Cosmos, ADF, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Queue Storage /S3, EBS, EFS, RDS].
  • Expertise with regulatory data management and reporting.
  • Experience with asset and change management process.
  • Familiarization with GL, Credit Risk (CRR) and Market Risk Calculations (PRR).
  • Expert working knowledge – Azure Dev Ops and other CI/CD tools.
  • Knowledge on Python, Java, SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL, Power shell and similar technologies.
