What You’ll Do
Serving as paint shop helper technician you will:
Load and unload paint booths. Moving vehicles to support production flow through the shop and painting processes.
Masking and unmasking vehicles.
Vehicle cleaning and preparation, including washing, wheel cleaning, waxing and buffing, polishing, touch ups, removing finish defects, assistance with paint applications and minor repairs.
Inspecting finished body panels for color match and finish texture.
Preparing surfaces for buffing.
Restoring finish panels to OEM quality.
Removing and cleaning compound or polish residue from buffed panels.
Maintaining paint booths and shop cleanliness with 5S guidelines.
Completing work order documentation.
Comply with applicable procedures and regulations regarding mixing, labeling, applying and disposing of paint and related materials.
Always wear and use appropriate safety equipment. Following all job-related safety and health procedures.
Assisting with special projects assigned.

Minimum:
Generally less than 2 years of experience as a paint shop helper or equivalent vehicle repair experience.
Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
Preferred:
A high school diploma or its equivalent.
