The Manager of Marketing FP&A is responsible for leading a team of analysts focused on the financial performance of our growing Retail Media Network and Loyalty programs.  This role will partner with Marketing stakeholders and across the organization, to support business decisions.  It requires excellent communication and collaboration skills.

The Manager will drive our recurring financial forecast and annual budgets, while also leading the monthly close activities for the Retail Media Network.  Additionally, the role will execute ongoing analytics to understand the health of the portfolio and identify upcoming business risks or opportunities. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Forecast and Financial Close:

  • Become an expert in the underlying details of the business P&L’s. Identify and explain key drivers of variances vs the annual budget and last year. Effectively communicate to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Oversee the recurring financial forecast and monthly financial close for the Retail Media Network. For the forecast, partner with the business to capture trends, risks and opportunities. For the financial close, execute timely and accurately, providing additional support and reporting where needed.

  • Collaborate with Accounting and Marketing on the financial forecast for Loyalty. This includes understanding how offerings impact the earn and burn of rewards, along with the impact of offerings to SG&A and merchandise margin.

Budget and Long-term Financial Modeling:

  • Oversee the annual Target and Budget process for the Retail Media Network and Loyalty.

  • Effectively communicate the details and expectations of the financial Budget to leadership.

  • Partner with business areas to align performance expectations and financial needs to operate the business.

  • Identify and explain key drivers of YoY financial variances in Budget vs prior years.

  • Develop 5-yr financial models of the business from trends and organizational initiatives/strategies/investments.

Business Support:

  • Prepare monthly business reviews that review the portfolio, provide insight to financial performance, and address focus areas or topics needing a business decision.   

  • Design and implement processes that are scalable as business grows

  • Assist business partners in evaluating investment opportunities and executing post-mortem financial analysis

  • Analyze financial risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to Business leaders

Coaching and Developing:

  • Cultivate an atmosphere where original ideas thrive, and the team offers unique solutions and approaches to their responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to direct reports and strategically delegate based on capacity and nature of work

  • Provide regular feedback to direct reports and coach for growth

  • Promote cross functional training opportunities and professional development

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, or related business field

  • 7-10 years experience

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in areas such as Financial Planning  or Marketing

  • Experience in retail, consumer products, apparel, or other customer-focused industries a plus.  Experience in Marketing a plus.

  • Role may require mentorship and/or direct supervision of Financial Analysts or Rotational Program Associates

  • Self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment

  • Requires focus amid rapidly shifting priorities, attention to detail, independent problem solving and adherence to tight deadlines when required
