Essential Functions

  • Industry and Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of last mile delivery industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape. Provide executive decision support by sourcing, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data and information. Translate analysis and insights into recommendations which help Walmart stay ahead of the competition and capitalize on emerging trends or technologies.

  • Strategy Development: Support the creation of a comprehensive roadmap for the long-term success of Walmart's on Demand Delivery solution.
    • Identify and drive prioritization of initiatives for growth, profitability, and sustainability while considering risks and mitigants. Build and use business knowledge to determine which cross-team activities must be prioritized by becoming a subject matter expert. Engage senior leadership to build an actionable and impactful plan which is aligned with Walmart’s vision and mission.
    • Support facilitation of strategy offsites and workshops to generate new ideas and solutions that align with Walmart's vision and strategy. Use data-driven insights and critical thinking to support strategic brainstorming. Develop and continuously improve collaboration methodology leveraging best practices from cross-functional partners where applicable.
    • Build trust and foster relationships to drive collaborative engagement throughout the strategy development process. Work closely with cross functional teams to gather data, insights and best practices that support key messages and ensure stakeholders are aligned with goals and strategic direction.
    • Assist development of the Annual Operating Plan, ensuring that it is aligned with Walmart's long term strategic plans and goals. Monitor progress and adjust as needed to ensure that On Demand Delivery strategy is on track to achieve goals.

  • Strategy Communication: Develop compelling stories, presentations, and papers that communicate the On Demand Delivery team's strategic initiatives and impact. Adapt communication style to suit different audiences and situations. Partner to strengthen the Operating Model through designing, implementing and refining scorecards and other review mechanisms.

  • Drive for results: Execute projects, work streams, and programs by creating and managing project plans, timelines, data, and communication which ensure successful roll-out. Drive the execution of multiple business projects by identifying customer and operational needs, setting a high-performance standard and adjusting direction based on progress measurement. Develop contingency plans which demonstrate adaptability and support continuous learning. Manage budgets for assignments where required.

  • Adhere to Compliance protocols: Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
