Business Research Analyst

Your role

The position of Business Research Analyst will be part of the Marketing and Client Services team. They will be responsible for identifying opportunities, actionable market insights, sector thought leaders and competitor analysis.

This role also supports the firm's client feedback process and analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities will include researching industries, trends and market drivers that are impacting our clients, and which support marketing initiatives.

The Business Research Analyst will adapt this research to use as content for strategic client meetings and to work with the Business Development team and Partners to project and manage a number of these initiatives.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. Hybrid working (60% in the office) is how we work however flexibility matters at Allens, so if you are seeking hybrid working or are looking for flexibility in your work, we would be happy to discuss what arrangements would work best for you.

* This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.

About you

You will have:

  • Experience working in a similar role in a professional setting.

  • Deliver commercially orientated client and industry insight that will feed into the firm's pitches, client feedback programme and business development activities.

  • Prepare competitor analysis to identify practice growth opportunities.

  • Assist with the project management and data collection and analysis for the client feedback programme.

  • Assist with research insight into the firm's sectors for the firm's dedicated groups.

  • Support writing and designing of internal and external surveys, as well as qualitative and quantitative analysis of resulting data.

  • Driving and supporting business development activities across key industry and practice areas through research campaigns.

  • Work collaboratively with all members of the BD team. Bring a "can do" and positive attitude to the role.

  • Enhance the reputation of the BD team within the firm for its professionalism and for the strategic and distinctive value, it provides.

  • Work with communications and knowledge services' resources within the firm as well as external suppliers.

  • Make effective use of all communication channels for the firm generally e.g. website, e-bulletins, media, sponsorship, conferences, research and industry networks.
