Job Summary

1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
2. Excellent knowledge and understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
3. Proficiency in utilizing various testing techniques, such as functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
4. Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
5. Knowledge of programming languages, such as JavaScript, Java or Python, to assist in test automation is a plus.
6. Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
7. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and processes.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to thoroughly evaluate software applications and systems.
2. Identify and document software defects and issues and work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve them.
3. Conduct regression testing to ensure that defects have been adequately addressed and do not reoccur.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure that testing requirements and objectives are understood and met.
5. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
6. Perform system integration testing to ensure seamless integration between various software components.
7. Conduct performance testing to evaluate system responsiveness, scalability, and stability under various conditions.
8. Prepare and maintain test environments, test data, and test documentation to support testing activities.
9. Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and ensure that testing processes align with industry standards.

Participate in product design and requirement discussions to provide input from a quality assurance perspective

Qualifications and Skills

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 6-8 years of experience as QA Tester.
3. Proven experience as a QA Tester, with a track record of successfully delivering high-quality software applications.
4. Certification in software testing, such as ISTQB, is preferred.

1. Experience in cloud environments: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including familiarity with cloud-native applications and services.

1. Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Functionize, JMeter, LoadRunner, Junit or Similar.

1. Test management tools: Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar for tracking test cases and defects.

1. Familiarity with SQL and database management systems.

1. Working knowledge of Data warehousing, Data Governance and Data Quality.

 

1. Knowledge of web technologies and APIs is desirable.
2. Strong understanding of software development methodologies and processes.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
