About the Role
We are looking for resourceful candidate who will,
• Support the realization of AIA Group’s Technology, Digital, Analytics (“TDA”) Programme target outcomes, specifically around financials and business impact of the various initiatives under the programme
• Drive the TDA Transformation Programmes with BU for the assigned portfolio
• Be the interface between Group TDA TO and local TDA TO to manage consistent communications and alignment on TDA reporting requirements, monthly cadence, and portfolio management frameworks.
• To provide a detailed understanding of BU TDA Portfolios including status of overall portfolio, health of individual projects and risks and issues in order to provide insights and advice to TDA Sponsor and Workstream Leads.
• Manage interdependencies across the TDA workstreams and provide critical evaluation and steer direction to mitigate risks and help resolve material issues
• Drive strategic initiatives initiated or required of TDA office
Roles and Responsibilities:
Establishing, challenging & issue resolution
- Provide problem solving to enable BU to mitigate issue/risk
- Provide leadership and steerage to influence the required changes, ensuring the right outcome is achieved
- Act as the lynchpin to connect and enable collaboration between GO and BU stakeholders to ensure synergy
- Establish and drive strategic initiatives required of TDA office
BU Portfolio Management
- Deliver high quality quarterly TDA PSC update on respective BU including working with WSLs/delegates to:
- KPIs and UCA metrics are accurate/up to date
- provide qualitative commentary on KPI changes should there be deviation
- obtain endorsement from respective KPI owners and Workstream leads (WSL) on commentary provided included progress updates of portfolio
- understand key capabilities delivered from major initiatives in each BU
- Identify potential changes to project KPI contributions, constructively challenge and raise/follow-up on remedial actions
- Provide critical evaluation and steer direction to mitigate risks and help resolve material issues through appropriate interventions amongst BUs and Workstream leads
- Provide bi-monthly update and insights on CTO review with designated BU, and quarterly insights for CEO update
- Develop TDA story for at least 1 BU within each portfolio to be shared with various group stakeholders, including IR
- Manage TDA communications in conjunction with WLS’ and KPI owners including (and not limited to) changes in KPI definition and/or measurement with respective BU
- Work with Group Finance on Group TDA recharges and spend analysis to ensure validity and accuracy for reporting
- Review BU submitted business case and provide commentary to facilitate approval by various group level stakeholders
- Track, monitor and manage benefit realization (financials and benefit drivers) for respective BU; highlight potential gaps (if any) and work with BU (and Group functional owners and/or WSL) to address benefit gaps
Workstream/Functional Scope
In addition to BU portfolio management, each PM will also be assigned to be the key liaison for workstream supporting respective WSL. As a key liaison, scope of work include:
- Regular e.g., fortnightly or monthly (as necessary) catch up with Group Functional owner (e.g. agency, PD, cloud, etc.) on updates, issues, risks, etc.
- Provide update and drive resolution on any functional issue/gap raised with BU, e.g. Vitality and Ops KPI shortfall, change of KPI definition, etc.
- Share updates on respective functional area with other portfolio managers
Minimum Job Requirements:
- 15 years IT Project management or IT consultancy experience or equivalent
- Significant demonstrable experience working on IT project deliveries in a multi-national company or leading management consultancy
- Insurance or financial services industry experience, ideally with respect to the implementation of transformation programmes
- Strong relationship management and influencing skills at a senior level
- Sound understanding of project management methodologies; waterfall, agile, scrum, etc.
- Strong communication skills and excellent active listening skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Fluent EnglishChinese speaking (Cantonese +/or Mandarin) would be advantageous but not mandatory
