In the Finance Business Partner capacity, you will report to the Finance Manager, Continental Europe, handling accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting – providing strategic insights that drive business decisions. Meanwhile, as a People & Culture Associate, you’ll work closely with the People Business Partner (dotted reporting line), leading employee lifecycle management, overseeing payroll, and ensuring HR compliance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

Your main tasks as Finance Business Partner will be: 

  • Financial Transactions & Compliance: Process accounts payable, receivable, and fixed asset transactions, ensuring timely registration with authorities.
  • Reconciliation & Reporting: Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Month/Quarter/Year-End Closing: Assist in financial closing processes, ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
  • Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with external consultants and internal teams to meet accounting and tax requirements; prepare and submit monthly/annual tax declarations.
  • Financial Controls & Performance Monitoring: Oversee internal controls, monitor company KPIs, and contribute to financial risk management.
  • System & Process Improvement: Support the development of reporting systems and evaluate system and accounting setup to meet local requirements.

Your main tasks as People & Culture Associate will be: 

  • Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding: Support recruitment and hiring process, coordinate onboarding and offboarding, ensure accurate employee record-keeping throughout the employment lifecycle.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement: Serve as a point of contact for employees, assist with engagement initiatives, and support policies and guidelines.
  • HR Administration & Compliance: Maintain employee records, including annual leave and sick leave administration, ensure labour law compliance and serve as a SME on Georgian labour law and practices.
  • Performance Management & Development: Assist in performance review processes, objective setting, employee development and training efforts.
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration: Assist with benefits administration and manage payroll processing.

Who we are looking for

  • All-rounded finance professional, holder of accounting degree with at least 5 years of experience in accounting and reporting.
  • Experience with payroll management and HR administration and practices.
  • Solid knowledge of Georgian legislation and standards, especially of obligations and procedures for tax returns and labour relations.
  • Familiar with relevant systems like Microsoft Dynamics and HRIS and of course MS Office.
  • Fluent in English and Georgian, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable working in a matrix organization and international environment, flexible in combining face-to-face time with local team and connecting remotely with colleagues in different locations
  • Experience in the maritime industry would be an advantage.
