POSITION OVERVIEW: The Associate, Compensation role for Apollo Global Management will support Apollo’s ES and CPS businesses in all areas of compensation. This includes but not limited to strategy and design, administration, and execution and delivery of ad hoc compensation reporting needs for all ES and CPS groups. In addition, this role will work closely with the Principal and Associate supporting the NY to drive a successful year-end compensation process across all stakeholder groups. This role may partner with members of the broader Human Capital team including Human Capital Business Partners, Benefits, HC Operations, Payroll, BP&A, Comp Finance, Carry/Co, Legal, as well as business leaders across the firm. This position will report to the Principal, Compensation for ES businesses.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Compensation team with compensation design, analysis, firm-wide comp
expense budgeting/forecasting and the implementation of new or revised compensation
programs
Supports the year-end annual compensation process including bonus pool analysis, production of
compensation templates for managers, compensation statements for employees and
enhancements of related year-end processes
Monitors labor market trends and continuously evaluate market competitiveness of ES and CPS compensation structures including owning the ES and CPS team’s market data matching and data submission
Improves current state of function through automation and repeatable report creation for respective businesses
Qualifications & Experience
4+ years of experience – mix of compensation, strategy, and/or data analytics background
Experience in data handling, reporting and excellent knowledge of Excel including formulas
Superior communication and listening skillset
Ability to independently take on multiple tasks with high degree of attention to detail
Proactive “go-getter” that offers suggestions for improvement and actively pushes Compensation function forward in both efficiency and effectiveness
Experience in administering compensation structures, processes, policies
Strong understanding of year-end compensation process
Candidate must have an analytical, logical thought process for developing solutions
