The role is part of a high performing team centered on Finance transformation and becoming a best-in class organization. The Senior Analyst will provide Controlling support to the Fin/Aud/Part/Proc/Corp.Affairs Corporate Function, including preparation of budgets and forecasts (Budget / C1 / C2 / Quarterly Landings / Rolling Forecast), monthly closings (accrual, actual reviews and variation analysis), project approval and tracking, and other financial planning & analysis activities on a timely basis.

As part of the Corporate Finance Controlling Operations team, there will be many opportunities to improve processes and improve collaboration with other Finance partners and business stakeholders to grow and demonstrate your analytical and interpersonal abilities.

This person will help identify and adapt new ways of working as we evolve into a Global model across Sanofi´s different excellence hubs. Challenging status quo with critical thinking, reducing simplicity, standardizing and streamlining will be crucial through this global transformation journey.

Main responsibilities:

This role will be responsible for operational controlling activities throughout the month for Fin/Aud/Part/Proc/Corp.Affairs projects.

  • Partner closely with Finance/Audit/Part/Proc/Corp.Affairs Global Finance Business Partners to impact financial statements correctly, align spend accruals and provide comments on variations versus plan every closing.

  • Closing: Ensure accurate and timely monthly closing tasks and share monthly results with Finance Business Partners as well as Budget Owners.

  • Budgeting: Participate in the annual budget process, forecast cycles and collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure effective financial planning.

  • Financial Reporting: Develop and present periodic reports on project financial status, including variances to budget, explanations of variances, and recommendations for maintaining financial control.

  • Variance Analysis: Identify causes of spend variances and work with appropriate departments to implement corrective actions when necessary.

  • Process Review: Assist in the review of operational processes and propose improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs.

  • Inventory tracking: Monitor inventory levels and help manage procurement to ensure material costs are controlled and efficient.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all spend control activities comply with internal regulations and company financial policies.

  • Increase financial, business and digital transformation acumen.

  • Ensure compliance with pertinent SOX controls Promote efficiencies, and improved ways of working across regions to ensure best practice sharing and global engagement with colleagues from other regions.

  • Support all key financial initiatives and ad-hoc projects and analyses as required.

About you

Experience:

  • 4+ years of diversified financial experience.

Soft skills:

  • Demonstrated results building partnerships with multi-levels across businesses required.

  • Must have the ability to influence and shape business decisions.

  • Must have high attention to detail, quality and proven ability to operate effectively under pressure and strict deadlines.

  • Ability to lead through influence including demonstrated facilitator skills.

  • Strong organization skills: ability to track and manage a high volume of projects at a detailed level.

  • Ability to work effectively across international work streams.

  • Demonstrated organization savvy and self-awareness.

  • Adaptable and able to work in a complex matrix environment.

  • Change agent who can propose, lead, and drive change.

  • Willingness to discuss with other teams and to understand different points of view will be key to building a strong partnership and collaborating as a Global Team.

Technical skills:

  • Advanced excel skills Advanced English level Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail and strategic thinking.

  • Proven experience working across multiple internal stakeholders.

  • Technology savvy, business orientation, and agile learning abilities required.

  • Capable of working in multiple systems and tools.

  • Solid grasp of evolving Sanofi technology platforms, processes, and controls including SAGA.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Economics, Business Admin or Finance is required.

Nice to have:

  • Pharmaceutical industry / Controlling experience TM1 and SAP knowledge is a plus.

Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
