Position Overview
The Autodesk Consulting team is seeking a talented and dynamic individual to lead our Technical Consultants in North America. As a key member of the Consulting team within our Customer Success organization, the successful candidate is a leader who is equally comfortable articulating an enterprise vision of success to our customers while energizing a team of highly skilled technical consultants who are developing/incubating innovation custom solutions as part of value delivered to the Customers. The Technology Consulting Manager will have direct involvement in shaping how we develop custom solutions/integrations as well as establishing thought leadership within Autodesk and beyond. This position is home-office based and can be conducted anywhere in the U.S. (access to a major airport is preferred).

Responsibilities
Directly manage Technical Consultants across North America
Demonstrate excellence in strategic thinking, development of requirements specifications, scopes of work, estimates, custom development/software development and communications
Work directly with customers to understand their EA integration needs and develop custom solutions built on Autodesk Cloud and On-Premise Products
Deliver customized and configured solutions on top of Autodesk core products in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) or Manufacturing (MFG) domain
Participate and provide thought leadership in global cohort on sharing best practices for custom solution development and delivery of technical consulting services
Maintain a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of consulting solutions and insights into industry best practices, trends, and gaps
Become a trusted business partner to customers as well as across Autodesk
Help prepare, review, and manage team delivered outputs to the customer
Proactively manage/build staffing plans with Consulting Delivery leadership to meet team and individual utilization target
Coordinate/Advise Delivery and Resource management team to ensure projects/initiatives are staffed with the relevant skillsets/capabilities of the Consultant
Plan for consultants development/training plan based on current and anticipated demand in skills and individual’s career growth aspirations
Attend key customer meetings and lead workshops
Ensure that team members perform to the highest level of quality and professionalism
Advise on project estimating of proposed solutions and participate in business development activities to build out steady pipeline of projects/initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree
Must have at least seven (7) years of hands-on experience in the consulting industry developing custom solutions/integrations
Prior experience in all facets of managing a team. Experience managing a remote team preferred
Demonstrated initiative and ability to drive decisions and get closure on recommendations and issues
Proven ability to work with diversified technical, sales, and project management teams
Ability to work independently and/or guide other team members to meet deadlines
Should have passion to coach/mentor team members
Must have a solid working knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and how to operate under structured project management
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience conducting workshops, facilitating meetings, and delivering effective presentations to teams and customers
Must be able to break down complex topics into a common language understandable by non-technical/business-oriented audiences
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including international travel
