What you will do in this role 🧐

As the Engineering Manager for the Carrier Core team you will hold a unique and critical role at Sendcloud. Your team, as a pivotal tooling team, it’s responsible for developing and maintaining the core technology that powers our Carrier library. This includes engineering and operating the infrastructure that supports over 80 Carrier integrations, as well as creating tools to streamline and accelerate integration development. Notable examples include a global control panel for managing integrations and a robust suite of integration tests.

• Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical efforts with business objectives and drive the successful delivery of projects.
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery process, from ideation to deployment, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Advocate for best practices and drive continuous improvement
• Manage team resources and capacity effectively to meet project demands and business priorities.
• Apply project and delivery management principles, leveraging Agile methodologies to organize and optimize team workflow and deliveries.

• You have experience with managing software integration libraries. Carrier integrations are a huge bonus, but general integration library (e.g. e-commerce systems, payment providers) management will do. Having lived the life of a senior developer before, you leverage your own experience to coach and train up the developers on your team
• You have experience as a line manager of multiple disciplines 
• You have experience with both building (development) and running software (operations)
• You are comfortable with working with a mostly remote team, and have practical experience managing remote and hybrid teams
• You have worked in large scale online environments (SaaS, e-commerce, online business)
• You live and breathe agile principles in your way of working: you’re able to coach peers and team members to improve this
• You know everything from cloud native principles and you understand how this translates to technical solutions

This position is open to worldwide candidates that are willing to relocate.  We offer (in-house) relocation assistance, which will make sure that you have a smooth relocation process. 🏠 

• A relocation allowance of €1.500 (net) to help you cover the costs of your move to the Netherlands. 
• A flight ticket to the Netherlands for you (and your partner and children moving with you, if applicable);
• Transfer from the airport to your first accommodation
