HSE Analyst

Are you enthusiastic about working in a truly global company? Are you driven by data, statistics and systems, and motivated to deliver top-tier service to a diverse group of stakeholders? Then this opportunity could be your perfect next step!

Who we are

Svitzer is a global leader in towage services, aiding our customers in safely and efficiently manoeuvring their large vessels in and out of ports worldwide. Operating in over 35 countries and across 110 ports, we primarily support container vessels, cargo ships, cruise ships, and navy vessels. Additionally, we respond to emergencies such as drifting vessels and offshore fires. Our company is embarking on an exciting journey, exploring new digital and environmentally friendly products and partnerships to pave the way for a cleaner, greener future in towage.

At Svitzer, we prioritise people. Joining us means becoming part of an international community with a professional, ambitious, yet relaxed atmosphere. With a flat and lean organisational structure, we foster a collaborative, inclusive, and enjoyable working environment.

We offer

As an HSE Analyst, you will play a vital role in enabling global strategic decisions and shaping the management system used by all our vessels and crew members.

Moreover, the role provides an opportunity to refine existing practices, enhance your skills, and build a strong foundation for career growth.

Reporting to our Senior Marine HSE Superintendent, you will be based in Mumbai, India together with a strong team of professionals where we offer flexible working conditions and a friendly working environment.

Key responsibilities

As an HSE Analyst, you will ensure delivery of key HSSEQ statistics enabling Svitzer and its operational teams in our regional and local offices around the globe in taking necessary strategic and tactical decisions.

It will be your responsibility to configure, maintain and support our Global Harmonised Management System, which is our primary operational management tool. You will take part in delivering business essential statistics and analysis just like you will serve as a project resource within the Marine Standards team.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate holds a relevant educational background as well as extensive practical experience in analysing business and operational data and preparation of reports. Further, you have strong IT skills (MS Office) and experience in application and use of reporting and business intelligence tools.

You are a natural team player focused on delivering outcomes to meet team objectives. You possess great collaboration skills and a positive attitude, and you are an honest and reliable colleague.

You take pride in your ability to adapt to changing business needs and with a keen eye for detail, structured approach, and adherence to guidelines, you strive for continuous process excellence and improvement. In general, you love solving problems and you consider yourself to be highly analytical.

Prior experience within HSE and/or the shipping industry is an advantage just like Microsoft Power-BI proficiency is.

Join us

If you are ready to take on this exciting challenge and make a significant impact with HSSEQ statistics, we encourage you to apply latest 30 September 2024 and become part of our journey. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
