About the team

As a member of the IT Asset Management Program Office, the IT Software License Management Analyst will be a resource for software licensing knowledge for FIS employees and teammates. They will also be responsible for the input, management, and maintenance of data in the Asset Management tool including licenses, maintenance, order information, business details and contracts.

This team works closely with Supply Chain Management, providing underlying data to aid in contract negotiations.  Cost savings and cost avoidance efforts, while reducing corporate risk, are critical pieces of the day-to-day processes and procedures.

What you will be doing

You will be responsible for global licensing and software asset management for the server/datacenter environment, including knowledge of one or more of the Tier 1 Publishers, such as Microsoft, IBM, Red Hat, or Oracle. A key function of this role will be to manage the daily care and feeding, as well as reporting out of the asset management/license optimization system.

  • Serves as one of the corporate resources for licensing questions pertaining to our software publishers, supporting over 140,000 servers. 

  • Helps maintain information in the Enterprise IT Software License Management solution (FlexNet Management Suite) to ensure purpose and functionality closely aligns with business procedures, directions, and strategies. This would include license assignments, purchasing updates, new asset identification and updates, report generation, and other administrative tasks as identified.

  • Routinely performs risk assessments associated with licensing compliance to ensure all vendor contractual requirements are met.

  • Provide feedback on software requests, license pooling/checks, and deployment.

What you bring

  • Knowledgeable of software licensing terms and license models, across various publishers.

  • 2-3 years of working experience in Software Asset Management

  • Working knowledge of Flexera’s FlexNet Management Suite, ServiceNow or similar.

  • Possess solid organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task in an ever-changing environment.   

  • Experience supporting a fast paced, global organization and building inter-departmental relationships.

  • Skilled use of Microsoft Office package, especially Excel and related software applications is required.

Added bonus if you have

  • Working knowledge of procurement and financial management principles.

  • Qualification/Certification in Software Asset Management from IAITAM, ITAM or similar.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $73,250.00 - $119,400.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
