VOID Supervisor

Leeds – Roseville Road

Full time - Permanent – 42.5 Hours per week 8am -5pm

£38,682.97 per annum – Plus Van and Fuel Card

About the Role:

As a void supervisor, you will manage the voids team, overseeing daily operations and coordinating with subcontractors and Leeds City Council. Your role involves ensuring maximum productivity, profitability, and satisfaction through effective resource utilization and planning. You will supervise and monitor work delivery, progression, and completion via site visits, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgets. Compliance with health and safety regulations, company procedures, and quality standards is crucial. Additionally, you will manage employee performance, coach and develop team members, and ensure HR policies are followed. Maintaining and monitoring company assets, including vehicles, tools, and PPE, is also part of your responsibilities. Your role requires a professional approach in all stakeholder communications, ensuring a high standard of health and safety. You will also provide backup to other supervisors, attend meetings, and participate in training sessions as needed.

Key Criteria:

  • Previous Experience in a Trade Supervisor Role: You should have a solid background in supervising trade teams, with hands-on experience in managing day-to-day operations, coordinating tasks, and ensuring project completion to high standards.
  • Good Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities are essential. You need to efficiently plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring that all activities are completed on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge or Experience in Social Housing: Familiarity with the social housing sector is important. This includes understanding the specific needs and challenges associated with maintaining and improving social housing properties.
  • Knowledge or Experience with National Federation Contracts: Experience with National Federation Contracts (NFC) is beneficial. This involves understanding the standards and requirements set by the NFC, ensuring compliance, and effectively managing contracts within these guidelines.
  • IT Literate – Microsoft Applications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (such as Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required. You should be able to use these tools to create reports, manage schedules, and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Full UK Driving License: A valid UK driving license is necessary as the role may require travel between different sites and locations to supervise and monitor work activities.
